Oh my God! I suppose you get used to it after awhile, but I am speechless and in awe looking at the power of Nature. Is that a person in there? Isn’t he scared?
Spectacular WW!
What a great shot!! Very “raw power”-ish. The sunlight on the wave is perfect and the little swimmer/surfer guy does a great job of referencing the size of the wave. Which is scary. Me being a land-locked Canadian prairie girl and all!! I love the way it looks and I love walking ankle-deep in it, but the ocean intimidates me!
Awesome. I so wish I was a surfer on the North Shore. My middle son would be good at that, which is reason enough for me to move us all to Hawaii, but DH isn’t convinced yet.
Beautiful photo, did you take it? As much as I love surfing and have only done it a couple of times, truth be told is that I would be way too chicken to even think about surfing in a wave that huge. The ones I surf are just bumps on the beach. I dream though…
is that the quicksilver contest this past weekend? did the 40 foot waves finally hit? we were in honolulu from friday to sunday. i was hoping to meet you on a flight (we flew to kauai on sat) or catch some kona koffee @ sbux by marketplace. bummer… next time??? what do you think about the warrior game?

Photos like that remind me why I’m happy that our sea is relatively calm. I don’t think I could ever be a surfer!
