    What a great shot!! Very “raw power”-ish. The sunlight on the wave is perfect and the little swimmer/surfer guy does a great job of referencing the size of the wave. Which is scary. Me being a land-locked Canadian prairie girl and all!! I love the way it looks and I love walking ankle-deep in it, but the ocean intimidates me!

    Man. We saw a Discovery channel thing recently on the big waves of Hawaii and the big wave surfers… Makes me cringe just thinking of it!

    Awesome. I so wish I was a surfer on the North Shore. My middle son would be good at that, which is reason enough for me to move us all to Hawaii, but DH isn’t convinced yet.

    Beautiful photo, did you take it? As much as I love surfing and have only done it a couple of times, truth be told is that I would be way too chicken to even think about surfing in a wave that huge. The ones I surf are just bumps on the beach. I dream though…
