I am too cheap to pay for something like that. I would just go back farther in the plane to get what I wanted. I mean, aren't we paying enough as it is? You know what i would like to know is if everybody seated on a window seat on that plane has paid for the window seat. Chances are that you will only be asked to pay if another person want a window seat too. Thank goodness such things haven't reached Africa yet or at least kenya. I don’t know… sigh. I do know that things need to be changed. Big people need bigger seats. Yes — $5 extra or more for that.

I remember flying back to Baltimore once — and the flight was packed. There were three huge – I mean huge- people. My first thought was. I’m going to rebook if I have to squeeze in by one of them.

Then when I got on — those three were seated side by side. It was like solid flesh – I dont’ think they could even move.

Do you think the ones at the kiosk in the gate did that on purpose?

My hubby would definitely pay the extra money. I know airlines are struggling, but I always wonder in situations like this if they would give more back instead of taking away or charging extra if they wouldn’t make more money with extra passengers. We are driving 11 hours to Illinois in a few weeks mainly because I don’t want to fool with the hassles that Daniel does just about every time he flies.

I like the window seat on short flights, but I could do without it. I would pay for an aisle seat on a long flight.

You know, I read another article that said we could pay up to $30. I wouldn't pay any amount. I understand the marketing concept, of not charging more for the amount of a ticket, but it just sounds rediculous to pay for a window seat. Just doesn't sound fair. I'd rather pay more for a rise in ticket price than know I'm paying more for a window seat. If that makes sense. Christine's last blog post..Celebrating Earth Day 2008
