Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday.

In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.

If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and leave your link below. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!

Today’s question is:

What’s your favorite Summer Olympic event?

No doubt about it–Men’s Swimming! Go Michael Phelps!!!

  2. I wish I could say I’ve been keeping up…but sadly all I see is the medal count on yahoo!

  3. JHS says:

Gymnastics, but I also love to watch swimming & diving!

  5. great minds and all…. i have the same question today =)

my favorite is beach volleyball, with indoor volleyball a close second.

  6. Forgetfulone says:

    Women’s gymnastics.

  7. Gymnastics. Volleyball is awesome, too.

  8. I love the gymnastics. And the diving, swimming and volleyball too. :)

My question is Olympics related too, but slightly different.

  9. Dana says:

I would say it would be swimming… Do you know that there is a Special Olympics as well? It’s for special people…Love to watch it

  10. tonya says:

    Definitely gymnastics!!!!

  11. happyathome says:

Right now, I would have to say the Women’s Beach Volleyball! I never thought I could get into it but it is great to watch!

  12. Dad of Divas says:

I would say gymnastics, track & field andswimming events – can’t pick just one!

  13. The only thing I’ve watched is women’s gymnastics, I’m embarrassed to say. To be honest, I keep forgetting the Olympics are on! Too bad, because my kids would like some of the events. I’ll have to try to watch today.

  14. Jenn says:

I don’t watch the Olympics usually, but I’m a fan of the equestrian portion if I do turn it on.

  15. I have always loved to watch Synchronized Swimming. Sadly I have not seen it this year. I also enjoy swimming, diving and gymnastics.

  16. Women’s gymnastics, men’s swimming and women’s soccer.

  17. Summer says:

Gymnastics! I was up till nearly 1a.m. watching Nastia Lukin take Gold.

  18. I’m usually all about gymnastics but who can resist watching Michael Phelps swim?

  19. Sheila says:

Gymnastics – both mens and womens.

  20. Dana says:

    Gymnastics and swimming!! Go Nastia!!!

  21. Beverly says:

    I love Swimming.

  22. Cathi says:

I, along with most it seems, favor gymnastics. However, Michael Phelps is surely the overall sweetheart this year. So, swimming would be my choice along with my new favorite, synchronized diving.

  23. Em Dy says:

I don’t really watch much Olympics but when I do, I prefer those racing against time.

  24. Suzie says:

Swimming! Did you watch Michael Phelps last night….wow!!!

  25. Gymnastics but I have to say that I really have enjoyed watching Michael Phelps swim. That man is incredible!

  26. Jen E says:

I guess I’d have to say “reading about it on Twitter” as I haven’t watched it this year at all, or ever for that matter… Someday, I swear.

  27. I like gymnastics, but it’s so subjective and I hate that! but I have LOVED watching the swimming this year!
my whole family is getting into it :)

  28. Lori says:

Wow! This is a hard one! I would have to say swimming this year! I also love mens b-ball, sand v-ball and gymnastics!!!!

  30. Renee says:

I’m a HUGE Women’s Gymnastics fan, but it’s so hard for me to watch this year with all the complaints.

  31. Lissete says:

Since I was a little girl, I have loved gymnastics. I also like the diving especially the synch. diving. Plus I am into the men’s swimming this year.

  32. sagemom says:

Gymnastics! But I’ve been getting “Phelp fever” and I’ve been watching a lot of swimming during these ‘08 games.

  33. Rick Bucich says:

I’m a victim of the networks. Each Olympics there is a hot sport/athlete they spotlight and I get caught up in following them like everyone else.

Anyone remember the archery stud from a few years back? He inspired Geena Davis to take up the sport competitively.

Gimme a compelling story and I’ll watch any of the sports.

    Everyone have a great weekend!!!

  35. I have not really watched any …. cant seem to get into it this year.
