Sanjaya is still there because of “Vote for the Worst” and from what I have heard, Howard Stern. They are encouraging their fans to vote for him because he is the worst and they are trying to hijack the show.
My favorite girl is Melinda. (like you)
My favorite guy is a toss up between Blake and Chris.

Those are my favorite guys, too. They’re very mainstream and hip and kinda cute.

I don’t watch AI, but because she’s from Glendale, AZ, I have to go for Jordin Sparks. I hear she’s fabulous!

I always cringe when I see Sanjaya remaining. I always think it looks like he’s surprised too. I haven’t heard much of the girl so far because I’m not home Wed. nights. Among the guys I like Phil.

For the girls… I like Melinda - that girl can sing and I love that she is so sweet and just overwhelmed by the experience. So sincere!
For the guys… I like Blake - they totally trashed his song this week, but you know what? I found myself singing it the next day. I thought the arrangement was great. Kind of Pet Shop Boy-ish
As for Sanjaya… I feel bad for him. He’s a sweet kid… and the thing is, he can sing. He can carry a tune, but he just doesn’t have the power or the “yo” factor.

I agree! I wish he would have gone last week and that the “forgot the words guy” was still on the show.

Vote for the Worst is the culprit here I think. They keep the worst one on to make it interesting. Or the one with the goofiest personality. After all, how do you think Pickler stayed there that long last season???

And speaking of Pickler, did you see her perform on AI a couple of weeks ago? She looked awful!

I ask the same thing. Why is he still on? He is not a strong enough singer for this competition. Go home already!

Okay, I like Melinda too but what about LaKisha??? I think she has an amazing joice and as far as Sanjaya or whatever his name is, HE HAS GOT TO GO!

I think Lakisha has a great voice, too. It may be a toss up between them.

My wife read that their is some website that picks people that have no business sticking around American Idol and they get all the readers to vote for that person. Apparently this year’s charity case in Sanjaya.

Since I only watch the fun round with the really bad singers, I have no idea whether Sanjaya should stay or go or is even on the show.

I totally agree, he needs to go. He shouldn’t have made it past the Hollywood round. My favorite girl was Sabrina Sloan so now I like Jordin the best and my favorite guy is either blake or Phil.

Oh that’s what I want to know!! I was SOOO mad when Sundance went home. Something is totally wrong with this whole season. If Sanjaya is there for one more week I’m gonna give up. I think they need to limit the amount of votes from each phone line like dancing with the stars.

Lakisha can certainly belt it out as well as Melinda, but I hope they don’t get too boring. Anybody remember LaToya Jackson? She could sing, but she was too one diminsional. But I do think a girl will win it this year!

Hi. I’m Wendy. I missed last weeks American Idol. I heard that Melinda Doolittle was eliminated from the competition. I thought Blake Lewis would have. The judges blasted him two weeks ago. Some said that Melinda would get the Idol title, do and album. Now that I’ve seen Jordin Sparks perform, she’s gonna take it. She has charm, professionalism, a bit scratchy in some parts, but she has the vocal ability to win. Carrie Underwood won over a rocker boy, look how successful she is. A zillion awards. Jordin is that good.
