How Much Would You Spend?

While on my layover, I stopped at the Coach store in Manhattan Village. They had the cutest key chain (this picture does not do it justice).

While I was waiting for the salesperson to find out how much it cost, I started wondering how much I would actually be willing to pay for it. I figured if it cost more than $25, I would have to pass.

I know this may sound like a silly question, but, what would your perfect key chain look like and how much would you be willing to spend on it?

Oh yeah, this Coach keychain was $68. I guess I’ll have to wait until it gets to the outlet stores!

Wow – that was fast (your comment on my party post) So glad you’re in. I think it will be so fun!

And this is the CUTEST key chain ever! SOOOO sad that it cost so much. I too would have had to skip it. Can you imagine being a multimillionaire and just buying anything and everything you wanted. That would be sooooo bizarre!

i would LOVE to have that, but not for that price! That is expensive. But then … it is Coach.

    It sure is cute!

$68 for a key chai?! WOW

It’s definitely a cute keychain, but not $68.00 worth of cuteness. I think I may be willing to pay just a wee bit more than you: $30.00. Even then, I would be cringing that I had spent so much on a keychain!

Ouch! That is a super cute keychain, but I think I’d wait for the outlet stores, too. I think your $25 max is about how far I’d be willing to go for the “perfect” keychain…but I have no idea what it would look like.

Thats way to much for a keychain..although it is really cute!

No. Wouldn’t spend that UNLESS, it had some kind of little homing device in it that, when I laid them down somewhere, they would lead me right to their hiding place.

    Keys have legs.

(I don’t even think I’d want to give those as a gift because the receipient wouldn’t have any idea how much you spent on them.. ha ha ha ha)

Since cats are not allowed to drive, I have no keys. I did ask my agent, though, who has paid full-price for Coach purses, as well as great prices on ebay.

She said a keychain to her is worth no more than $20 since they get so banged up so quickly.

    $68? They’re high on drugs.

Well as I don’t get the whole buying designer handbags thing, I can’t relate to the buying designer key rings thing either.
I’m looking at that and thinking that I could buy the parts at the craft store and make one just like it for less than $10…I could probably make 10 of them for that price as the charms will come in bags of at least 10 each.
I’m guessing that you don’t shove these key rings in your pockets as the pink “stone” charm will come appart quickly if you do. :D

I’m the wrong person to ask b/c I’m very cheap when it comes to shopping. I guess when I was working, I was spending on frivolous things but now with 3.5 kids, diapers take up much of the expenses.

I’d spend $10 for that key chain.

Oh wow, that is so cute…gonna have to keep a lookout for it at the Coach Outlet here. If I see it ever, I’ll let you know. :)

I couldn’t bring myself to pay that much for a keychain, I beat mine up. Good for you having that restraint!

I’m not a key chain person, but I will admit that this is very cute. My key chain has so many freakin’ keys on it, it doesn’t really matter what the chain itself looks like since you can’t see it!

My key chains are always gifts to me from my kids, so they usually say things like “#1 MOM” or “Greatest Mom” or something like that. Since I always get these as gifts, I have NO concept as to how much I would pay for one!

So, I’m not help with this.

Guilty of spending $40 on a pink coach slipper key fob. It was too cute, my fav color and my fav bag brand PLUS duh, slippahs, who doesn’t love a good flip flop? $68 would have been too much, I agree.

You so need that keychain~it is too cool! I, too, would have to pass at $68, but I would probably pay about $25 as well. I’m finally working on my meme that you tagged me for several days ago! Should be up later today.

That is an interesting question. I don’t think I’ve ever given much thought to keychains. In fact, I feel like I have too many now and it gets bulky. I would definitely not spend that much money on a keychain.

That IS a cute keychain, but I’d be committed to the Home for those Lacking in Common Sense by my mother if I spent more than a couple of bucks on a key chain. ;)

I don’t think I would pay that much for a keychain. My daughter usually brings me back keychains when see goes on assignment with the Military. Places like Japan, Thailand, Korea. I like to get keychains and magnets from different places. $68.00 could buy my granddaughter a nice outfit from the Disney Store or Osh Kosh.

I couldn’t see spending that much on a key chain, that’s just silly to me. I wouldn’t even spend that much on a purse… I would however have no problem paying twice that much for a nice piece of 14-18k jewelry. I guess it just depends on the person. :O) That’s too bad though, if it had been more reasonable, I would have loved to have had that too.

I guess I’m cheap as I would not spend more than five bucks. I mean come on now it holds keys? lol

No way would I pay $68 for a key chain… I might pine over it for a while and look for a “faux” one on the internet but couldn’t see paying $68 for a key chain. I think $20 might be my max for a key chain that I thought was to die for.

My favorite key chain even is about an inch long and 1/2 inch wide. And has a raised silver pic of the DC Temple(LDS Temple) I love it, it reminds me of what I need to do and the silver and blue look putty:)

    BeachMama says:

That is the cutest key chain. I would have limited myself to $25 as well, any higher and I just wouldn’t be able to justify it. I would pick it up at the outlet though :) .

$68???? *choking* That’s pretty steep for a key chain. I see an $8 key chain with a little, tiny silver thing that says Coach for $60! Just have them remove the Coach tag and get it for a discount!
