When both my girls were born, they weighed just over 5 lbs each. My doctor keeps teasing me that this baby will be over 6 lbs and I won’t know what to do. Yes, giving birth to tiny babies made delivery a little easier for me but very difficult in finding clothes for them. I had the cutest Little Suzy Zoo homecoming outfit all ready to bring Girlie Girl home in but she was too small for it. This time I’ll be ready thanks to Fig Leaf Baby.
COMPANY DESCRIPTION
Fig Leaf Baby is a high-end, comfort line of Preemie Baby, infant, and toddler clothing in Austin, Texas. Our collections are made from 100% organic Peruvian Pima Cotton and features UV and stain protection.
MY REVIEW
We received their pink Kimono Bodysuit to review and was impressed from the moment we opened the packaging. It was wrapped in a box with a gift card attached – perfect for a baby shower gift! In the box we found the most adorable little onesie and hat. I loved the hat because to tell you the truth, I don’t really care for the multi-colored crocheted one we get from the hospital.
This 100% cotton outfit is so soft to the touch that I just know my new baby will be wrapped in luxury. What I liked best is that their are no tags to make her neck itchy. After all, comfort is my main concern.
MORE INFORMATION
“According to March of Dimes statistics, in 2006, 1 of 8 babies in the United States is born preterm. In the past 10 years, premature births have increased 16% yet hardly any baby apparel companies make clothing for these babies. Parents of preemies have to resort to doll clothing, learning to stitch themselves, or going through the trouble of altering baby clothes. We believe that these parents are already going through so much and finding comfortable, cute clothes for their little one should not be another struggle. To help preemie parents, we will be adding information, a forum, and a comprehensive list of other companies that provide products for preemie babies on our website in the near future.”
In addition, Fig Leaf Baby will donate a portion of their net proceeds to K.I.D.S. (Kids in Distressed Situations), which provides new clothing to underprivileged children. How cool is that! Not only are you getting a high quality outfit that will actually fit your little one, but you’ll also be helping other kids in need.
Stop by Fig Leaf Baby today and check out their adorable product line.

Well, as small as you are, it’s a good thing you had tiny babies. I’m a big girl, and my children were 7 lbs. 12 oz. and 8 lbs. 15 oz., respectively. Good thing I had c-sections, huh? LOL
