In Zookeeper, the animals at the Franklin Park Zoo love their kindhearted caretaker, Griffin Keyes (Kevin James). Finding himself more comfortable with a lion than a lady, Griffin decides the only way to get a girl in his life is to leave the zoo and find a more glamorous job. The animals, in a panic, decide to break their time-honored code of silence and reveal their biggest secret: they can talk! To keep Griffin from leaving, they decide to teach him the rules of courtship – animal style. The film also stars Rosario Dawson and Leslie Bibb and features the voices of Cher, Nick Nolte, Adam Sandler, and Sylvester Stallone.
Zookeeper is an enjoyable movie filled with friendship, love for animals, and sweet romance which is certain to delight the whole family. Kevin James’ (Griffin) comical performance had me going from beginning to end. After all, no one goes to see a Kevin James movie for any reason but to laugh. And laughing is what we did. My 11 year old son was hysterical throughout the film.
Our favorite character is the Capuchin Monkey (Adam Sandler). As for Ken Jeong (venom) we’re not sure what was the point of having his character and we were hoping to see more from him.
Overall, the Zookeeper was a fun filled movie for both children and adults.
