Verizon Wireless Palm Pre Plus: Mission Control

One of my biggest challenges with having 3 kids and 2 working adults in the family is keeping track of everyone’s schedules. There are activities, school projects, doctor’s appointments, playdates, friends birthdays, and parties to remember not to mention both mine and DH’s work schedules.
While at home I keep track of all our schedules on Google Calendar. But what do I do if I need to schedule something while on-the-go? I use the Palm Pre Plus Layered Calendar function which is able to sync with all the major scheduling programs like Microsoft Exchange, Facebook, and even Google.
This function was very easy for me to use since it works pretty much the same way as my Google Calendar. I have a separate calendar for each person in the family as well as one for my blogging schedule. Each one is color-coded and I have the option of viewing each calendar separately or all together in one. The Palm Pre Plus does exactly the same thing.
What I liked best is that every time I added something on to my Google calendar, I could hit the sync button and all my info would be wirelessly sent to my phone and vise versa. This saves me so much time since I don’t have to re-input the information or take a chance that I’ll forget to do it.
You can even take each individual event and add more detailed information like a time frame, location, various reminder notifications, if this event repeats on other days, and there’s even a place where you can add in your own notes.
The only thing I couldn’t figure out how to do is go from the individual event page back to the main calendar. The only way I could do it was go out of the calendar function completely and then go back in. It’s not a big deal but it would be nice to have some sort of “back” button like you have on computers.
Overall, I really liked this calendar function. The different colors are very appealing to my visual sensory and made it very easy for me to keep track of everything. After all, sadly, my mommy brain isn’t what it use to be. That’s why I’ve been relying on Palm Pre Plus Layered Calendars.
