Now that I’m back at work, we’ve been having to bottle feed Kaila a lot more. And since the brand that we used to use with the other girls no longer works for us (it leaks) I’ve been on a mission to find a replacement. So when we had the opporutnity to review Tommee Tippee, I thought I’d give it a try.

COMPANY DESCRIPTION

At Tommee Tippee, we understand that parenthood is an exciting and nerve-racking time, so as one of the leading manufacturers of baby products across the globe, we are committed to making it easier for you to do what’s best for your baby with our wide selection of innovative baby products for baby feeding, resting, changing and more.

OUR REVIEW

We received Tommee Tippee’s Closer to Nature Bottle as well as their Explora Truly Spill-Proof Sippy Cup and really liked both of them.

The Closer to Nature Bottle has a very unusual shape that’s wide on top and narrow in the middle. This cool looking design makes it easy to hold the bottle properly and comfortably. I also noticed that the Teats (nipples) are very soft and flexible. This encourages Kaila’s natural feeding rhythm and makes it the next best thing to nursing. But best of all, she really likes it. I thought I would have some trouble switching bottles on her but she took to the change without any resistence at all. In fact, I noticed that she actually seemed more comfortable using the Tommee Tippee Bottle than the other leading brand we were sometimes using.

The only downside is that the bottle is a little too wide to fit into the outer side pockets of my diaper bag but other than that we really liked it!

We also received the Explora Easy Drink Beakers in pink and purple. Now, I have this thing about sippy cups that claim to be spill-proof. I’ve tried countless of different brands over the years and found that most of them end up eventually leaking onto my carpet, couch, or in the car. So I honestly wasn’t expecting too much from these Beakers. Well, I was wrong. Since Kaila is still too young to use a sippy cup, I decided instead to put some water into it, turn it upside down, shake it and see what would happen. I was pleasantly surprised to see that none of the liquid came out. It acutally worked.

I also liked that the Beakers have a rubber-like grip on both sides of the cup which will definitely help Kaila with her grip. It also has a built-in cover for the spout. This is a great feature for in-between sips and for storing her drinks in the refrigerator. For me, the only con would be that the cup separates into 4 pieces some of which are on the smaller side. I have been known to let small pieces fall into the garbage disposal and not realize it until it’s too late.

All in all, we really liked the Tommee Tippee products and would definitely recommend it to other parents. They also have a wide selection of other products such as bibs, sterilizers, tablewear, and pacifiers. Check them out today!

I’m looking forward to trying the closer to nature bottles with my 4th baby. Though I have never bottle-fed much, it is really nice to have the option and be able to take a break and let Dad or a sitter help once in a while. So far my kids have all shunned the bottle (and pacifiers). I’m hoping the 4th time’s the charm…I have so much more to juggle now!
    Thanks for the review!

These sound like great products! It would be so nice to have sippy cups that don’t spill and bottles that are “the next best thing” to breast feeding. Thanks so much for sharing! I’m excited to look into this company!

First, that is a great photo of Kiana and Kaila… they are both so beautiful!
Second, while at the Disney conference, two of the moms there had the sippy cups for their kids and they worked wonderfully. Those kids were flinging the cups everywhere because of all the excitement and they didn’t leak at all, none of us got wet! :-)
I, too, would recommend them to all other mommies!
