Everybody knows tic tacs, but did you know that since 2008 they have produced a limited edition flavor (only available from August through October) in support of CancerCare? It’s pink of course, and the flavor is pink grapefruit.
Through a program called Shake, Share & Care, the makers of tic tacs are donating $100,000 to CancerCare with an additional donation of $5 per person who “shares” an act of caring on their Facebook page (up to $100,000). You must “like” the Tic Tac page and then post a comment about your act of caring for the donation to count. One per person.
For the brand whose tag line is “fresh entertainment for your mouth” I think what they’re doing to promote CancerCare is great. It’s a unique pairing of a company that provides some breath relief with an organization that provides other kinds of relief. CancerCare does not fund research, but provides all kinds of support to families living with cancer and after the effects of cancer. All of their services are provided free of charge.
If you have a Facebook account can I ask you to go “like” tic tac and post a comment? There is no limit on what counts as an act of caring so even something as simple as sending a card would count!
We like the pink grapefruit tic tacs in our house, my son calls them “pink beans” and must have one whenever he see the container! It’s a light citrusy flavor that’s not overpowering, but leaves you with that fresh taste in your mouth.
So if you happen to see these pink tic tacs before they’re gone, may I suggest you try them? You won’t be disappointed!
This flavor is only available in the US. Tic tac containers are recyclable with a code #5.
This post was written for the tic tac brand who provided the complimentary product in exchange for my honest review.
