The Playful Planet Storyland Yoga DVD is a fun-filled adventure that infuses children with an eco-conscious message. Kid’s learn yoga postures by becoming part of the story and imitating animals. By connecting with nature and gaining respect for their own health and well-being, children become empowered to create solutions for the health and sustainability of our plant. Storyland Yoga is equally fun for parents and family members who can benefit from yoga, while enjoying ‘organic time’ with their children.

I believe in living a healthy lifestyle. I believe if you have a healthy heart it gives you a healthy mind. I also believe in passing this on to my son. It’s important to me that he lives an active and healthy life so I try to expose him to as many positive activities as possible. Any activity that we can do together is an added extra bonus and that is why I love this Storyland Yoga DVD.

Darrian and I both enjoyed the Save the Whale Yoga Program. Certified children’s yoga instructor, Ahmed Fahmy, has created a unique approach to yoga that engages children and connects them to nature through imaginative storytelling. We stretched our bodies and opened our minds. We engaged in yoga poses together and used our imagination to become one with the story. The stories told were very creative and detailed. It is no wonder why this DVD has won so many awards. The benefits are endless. With Storyland Yoga children and parents get in a 20 minute quality time yoga session, children are forced to use their imagination, and children are empowered to create solutions for their health and our planet.

I recommend you and your child get up off the couch today and join us in doing Storyland Yoga! The time spent together doing this video will strengthen not only your body and mind, but will strengthen your relationship with your child and our planet.

    Ivair says:

Unfortunately, I think there is frequenty the mictsncepoion that many practices from the far east are religion based. I can remember attending a conservative christian church many years ago that would not allow a karate class to use the gym because they felt it was in conflict with the church\’s theology. Yoga can be very spiritual, but not in a religious worshipful way. It is more in the same way one may have a positive experience and feeling while sitting at the beach watching the waves roll in; sitting under a shady tree listening to the soft melody of wind chimes; enjoying the view from a mountain top; or being hushed by the majesty of the Grand Canyon. Any serene activity can promote spirituality not religious spiritualiy but the my-soul-feels-peaceful kind. I have practiced yoga for years. I find the simple act of letting go of my thoughts to enable me to listen carefully to the instructor and follow her lead into the next pose, is in itself restful. The body is gently challenged to stretch and flex while I focus on nothing more than it. I come out of my yoga practice feeling relaxed and calm, ready for the chaos to begin again. It is good for my spirit !
