Who knows toys better than a magazine dedicated to the health, welfare, and happiness of kids around the country? Parents Magazine, the nation’s premier parenting publication is expanding their toy collection to include items that are specifically designed to address developmental changes, stimulate a child’s rapidly growing intellect, motivate motor skills, inspire imagination, and support the learning process while encouraging playtime and exploration.
We had the opportunity to review their new Critter Conga Percussion Set ($30) which included a leopard conga drum, tambourine lid, antelope slide whistle, snake drumsticks, giraffe maracas, and a crocodile cabasa & clacker, as well as a few other pieces.
Aimed at kids 18 months +, Baby Bug had a blast as she played her instruments and danced around the room. It was a little louder than I would have liked but what’s childhood without a little noise, right? These pieces are made from high-quality, phthalate-free plastics and will definitely stand the test of time. What I really liked is knowing that while she’s having fun she’s also improving her motor skills and memory.
Parents Toys . . . “When the toy does less, the child does more.”
Thank you to Team Mom and Parents for this great review opportunity!
