My sons feel like its Christmas at our house…WHY??? Well, we received another DVD to review. Another Lego Ninjago to be precise! They were so excited to watch LEGO Ninjago Masters of Spinjitzu Season One. My boys could not contain their excitement. I swear I think my neighbors thought we won the jackpot with all the hype from my boys.

Currently the #1 rated show on Cartoon Network with boys ages 6-11, LEGO Ninjago Masters of Spinjitzu Season One follows four ninja heroes who must protect the world of Ninjago from a new enemy. The two-disc DVD set includes all 13 action –packed season one episodes of LEGO Ninjago Masters of Spinjitzu.

Life is never easy for a ninja hero. LEGO Ninjago Masters of Spinjitzu Season One finds Kai, Jay, Zane, and Cole in a heated battle against Lloyd Garmadon, son of their archenemy Lord Garmadon. Garmadon launches an attack on Ninjago with an army of sinister snake tribes in an attempt to conquer the land. However, his plan backfires when the snakes organize a mutiny and take him as prisoner. As I mentioned in an earlier post, my children have been watching and enjoying every episode of Lego Ninjago on Cartoon Network. Do they mind watching it again on DVD? Not a bit!!! In fact, they absolutely love it!!!

Season One has Ninjago in combat with the Serpentines. The Serpentines who are being led by Phythor is trying to retrieve the Four Fang Blades which are hidden in various places. The purpose of the Four Fang Blades is to awaken The Great Devourer. A long time ago, The Great Devourer was put to sleep because it would have destroyed everything that was alive. Now, Phythor wants to awaken The Great Devourer so that it would destroy Ninjago. Phythor does not realize how large and powerful The Great Devourer is and soon he fears for his life. He runs and hides in the tomb of The Great Devourer. In the meantime, the four ninjas give Lord Garmadon their golden weapons in order to defeat The Great Devourer. Lord Garmadon defeats The Great Devourer by using the golden weapons to attack The Devourer’s weak spot. Does this mean Lord Garmadon has changed his ways? ABSOLUTELY NOT! His destiny is to battle with the Green Ninja. It is during Season One that we learn the Green Ninja is Lloyd Garmadon, Lord Garmadon’s son. What does this mean? Season Two is sure to be packed with action and excitement as it all leads to the inevitable battle between father and son. We (including myself) can’t wait to see what happens!

If you’ve missed any of the episodes from Season One, never fear the Season One DVD is here. Check it out and catch up on any or all episodes.
