JumpStart Pet Rescue for Wii

We’ve always been big fans of JumpStart. Their educational CD-ROMs have proven to be a valuable educational tool when Girlie Girl was growing up and she still plays with them today. Now Jump Start has come out with a Wii version of their popular educational software called Jump Start Pet Rescue and we had the opportunity to check it out.

Join the JumpStart friends in a rich world full of learning and creativity! JumpStart Pet Rescue contains 5 Discovery worlds where Preschoolers navigate through 5 stories in a search for lost pets. Each Discovery world contains a guided story told by one of the JumpStart friends, leading children on a learning adventure through more than 70 learning lessons and activities that teach kids over 75 essential skills they need to succeed.

OUR REVIEW

What I really like about JumpStart is that even though it’s aimed for preschoolers, it’s also entertaining enough for my 7 year old. It’s very rare to find a Wii game that both my girls can play at the same time. This way there’s no fighting over who’s turn it is. Gotta love that!

Another great feature is that this program combines many different activities into one. Pet Rescue has 70 different learning lessons that teach pre-reading skills, memory, creativity, motor skills, listening, and much more! Not only can you choose and personalize your player but you can also take care of your very own pet and decorate your own house.

As my girls go through the different activities, they earn points that unlock books which the program reads to your child. I really like that part! The stories and 3D animation keeps the girls’ attention and they listen to the books over and over again.

JumpStart Pet Rescue is a big hit with our family providing hours of fun and education!
