Fashion Playtes – It’s Sew Cool!

If you ask Kacie what she wants to be when she grows up she’ll say she wants to be a Fashion Designer. She’s spends hours in her room drawing and designing outfits. I have to admit that her designs are pretty awesome. I’d buy one.

When I first heard about Fashion Playtes, I thought it would be perfect for Kacie. The site lets you select your basic clothing piece and then gives you various options on how you’d like to design it. There are color choices, under layers, ribbons, ruffles, rhinestones, and rosettes. The combinations are endless.

And it was so easy for Kacie to use. She just scrolled through the various choices and then dragged & dropped her selections on to her creation. If she wanted to change something, all she needed to do was drag her new selection over the old one and it would automatically change. She also had the option to “Start Over” if she wished. A very cool feature is the way the price of the outfit was always displayed on the screen. This way you knew immediately how your additions/subtractions would affect the overall price.

Once she was done, she could even design her own label.  How cool is that? We placed our order and in about 2 weeks her precious dress arrived.

I wasn’t really sure what I was expecting the final product to look like but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The quality of the outfit was amazing and it looked exactly the way Kacie designed it. Every seam was double stitched and reinforced for durability. The cotton/spandex material was thick and comfortable. The details were great.

And of course, Kacie was thrilled! Now she’s asking to make more creations. If you have a little fashion designer in your life, you owe it to yourself to check out Fashion Playtes. We’re glad we did!
