Charley’s Grilled Subs

After doing some shopping at the Ala Moana Shopping Center, DH and I decided to grab some lunch in the food court. I was fortunate to receive some Charley’s Grilled Subs gift certificates, so I went straight to Charley’s and ordered my lunch.
Like so many great things, it all started by a wrong turn made right. Charley was taking a family vacation when a missed exit brought him to the City of Brotherly Love. His first encounter with a local delicacy, a Philly CheeseSteak was love at first bite. When he returned, he perfected the recipe. Then, Charley’s fortune took another turn. His Mom let him borrow from her life’s savings, and the first Charley’s was born in Columbus, Ohio in 1986…From there, Charley spread the sizzle of Philly Steaks across America and around the world.
I decided to order a large Ultimate Club so I could eat half for lunch and half for dinner, and no lunch is complete without fries, so I also ordered a Gourmet Fries Combo (which I shared with DH).
The Ultimate Club was good—almost like a “regular†club sandwich, with turkey, ham, bacon, and cheese, except the meat is served hot and grilled, and sub sandwich style.
The Gourmet Fries were quite addicting—bacon and cheddar topped a generous serving of fries, and it was served with ranch dressing. YUM!
The sandwich itself was pretty pricey (approximately $10), but since it actually served me two meals, it was definitely worth it for me.
Although I enjoyed the Ultimate Club, I think next time I’d try the Philly Chicken Sub, since that is one of their specialties, and I’ll definitely be getting the Gourmet Fries again!

Thank you to Charley’s Grilled Subs for providing the gift certificates for review. I received no other compensation for this post.

These look SO good, and I just found out that there is one in the mall near us. I am so glad, I know where I am going to stop for lunch next time I am at the mall shopping, which I don’t do often, but it will make the mall trip a lot less stressful.
Thanks for the review.
