Celebrating Halloween with Chasing Fireflies

When the back-to-school season starts, my kids know that Halloween is just around the corner. They like to get an early jump on things and start planning their costume choices months in advance. That’s why we were so thrilled to be a part of the Chasing Fireflies review campaign. We had the opportunity to select a costume from their beautiful high gloss catalog and believe me the decision was not an easy one. All the costumes were so unique and elaborate! This year I let Kacie select her favorite one. She chose the Pink Lady costume ($58).

You’re gonna rule the school as our oh-so-cool pink lady. The set comes with a pink satin jacket, a striped top, leggings and belt. Add the accessories, a little “pink attitude,” and you’re set. Polyester, cotton, cotton-spandex.

When I was younger, Grease was one of my favorite movies. Who didn’t want to be Sandy back in the days? So when Kacie decided to be a Pink Lady for Halloween, I was probably happier than she was. Talk about memories!

The Pink Lady costume set came with the jacket, leggins, striped top, and black belt. We also decided to purchase the pink and white necklace/bracelet set as well as the cool sunglasses to complete the look. One of the things that has always impressed me about Chasing Fireflies is the way they pack their items. Each garment came in it’s own separate sealed bag and layered with bubble wrap within a thick corrugated box.

The striped top is a tank top style with wide shoulder straps. It’s made from 100% ribbed cotton which gives it a very soft and comfortable feel. The leggins is made from a cotton/poly blend which allows the material to stretch just a little for a pretty great fit. There’s an elastic waistband and the length stops just short of her ankles. The shiny patent leather looking belt has 5 holes to ensure a perfect fit.

However, the best part of the costume is the Pink Lady jacket. It’s made from 100% polyester and has a shiny satin look to it. We like that it’s very lightweight and the elastic sleeve cuffs and bottom hems makes sure that the jacket holds it’s shape well.

The black plastic zipper is easy to open and close.

But the coolest part is the “Pink Ladies” logo printed on the back.

Over the years, we’ve purchased many costumes for Halloween or just every day dressing up. So far we’ve found that Chasing Fireflies has the most unique selection and the best quality costumes. They’re a little more expensive than your average set but I know that it will last for years to come.
