I have always believed that books are one of my most valuable material possessions. When I open a book I can go anywhere. I can sail to ancient Greece or help solve a mystery along with the FBI. I taught my children to love books and to escape into the adventures that are waiting inside the cover. Now I’m having a delightful time teaching my grandchildren the wonders found inside books.

Rebel Stone and the Ghost Whisperers had us from the get go. I read Rebel Stone to my youngest grandchildren and from the moment we read the first page they were captivated. We found ourselves walking the halls of the old grey stone castle that Rebel Stone and his parents were living in. I honestly believe we were more curious then Rebel himself about the one room, the master suite, that no one had entered for more than 100 years.

Rebel Stone is easy for young people to identify with. He’s into hunting ghosts and befriends the ghosts of twin girls who have been living in the attic of his new house. The twins who are the Ghost Whisperers and their spirits are being held in the mansion. It’s Rebel’s goal to help free the twins from their confinement.  With the help of his friend Becky, Rebel begins an adventure where they encounter ghosts, outrageous animals, extraterrestrials and a monster with a huge desire for power.

The people of Shadowridge have been mysteriously turning into curious critters. Rebel know it up to him to devise a plan to that will force the extraterrestrials to leave and return his neighbors back to their former selves.
