What a Difference a New Floor Makes

December 17, 2007

As requested by Kila of momto3cubs, here is a photo of my new floor.

I still haven’t moved all the furniture back in but I have to say that I’m kind of loving this non-cluttered, minimalist look. It reminds me of the first day we moved in. So much possibilities, so much lay ahead. What a great way to begin a new year.

It appears the room has been claimed already by a princess and two cats, who are waiting for furniture to claw :)

Oh, it looks great! I would have a hard time filling it back up with furniture, too. Who wants to cover up a floor that pretty?!

Love it! The girls can “ice skate” on it in their sock feet. ;)

I’m hoping we can put hardwoods in our den next year. Our entry and dining room have hardwoods and I love it! (especially with two dogs.)

That floor is absolutely gorgeous! We’re going to put hardwood in our dining room (it currently has carpet - carpet in an eating room - what were they thinking??).

Even though the floor is gorgeous, the purple princess and the cats really add warmth to the room. *grin*

Oh! They are beautiful! When we lived in Oregon we had hardwook throughout the house. The kitchen and bathroom had a linolium and the toy room was carpeted - everything else was hardwood and I LOVED IT!!!

Personally, I think the empty look is a good thing.

Beautiful floor!! I wish ours still looked like that. ;) And Baby Bug in her pretty purple princess dress sets it off nicely.

*squee* And an orange kitty! Love me some orange kitties. :)

Oh it looks beautiful! I found a great product by 3m that is a mop that has replaceable micro fiber heads. It has a dust mop type cover or a wet mop type. I cot mine at a Target store. Works good for the flooring.

I’m not sure if your floor is laminate or real wood, but it is gorgeous! I have laminate floors, and it is soooooo easy to clean. I wanna rip out all of my carpeting and just finish the rest of the house in laminate.

The whole room is fab, darling. Can you do my house next? My floor is circa 1975…

I can supply my own purple princesses, but can I borrow the cats?

Love the floor. Don’t ad furniture just ad little girls dressed in lovely princess outfits with whirly twirly skirts. They ad so much color and character to the room.

It’s beautiful! And I know just what you mean about open spaces. I’m getting new furniture for Christmas and right now I’m really loving the empty clean feeling!

The floor came out perfect and I was happy to see the 2 cats since I sent you a Christmas card with a cat on it. I only have one 10 year old cat but I love him so much which surprised me because I never was crazy about cats before.
