I tried. I really did. But it looks like it’s not going to happen this year.
You know how you always see those perfect photo-type Christmas cards where everyone is color coordinated showing their perfect smiles? Well, this past weekend we went to a Lunch with Santa. Since I had to get the girls dressed up, I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to get their photo taken for a Christmas card.
After about 15 shots, this is the best I could get. Baby Bug was not cooperating and Girlie Girl was getting impatient.

While at the lunch, they had all kinds of cool kids activities as well as a magic show. Of course, Mr. & Mrs. Claus were there, too. Here was a second chance at getting that perfect photo!
Baby Bug took one look at him and went, “WHAAAAAAAA!”

She was screaming so loud, we all had to laugh. Hmmm . . . maybe I’ll use this one anyway. It would serve her right for ruining my perfect picture!
If you’d like to share your not-so-perfect holiday photos, I’d love to see them!
- BTW, you should see what Knitting Maniac’s daughter is obsessed with these days. Maybe I should adopt her. She’d fit in perfectly here! Just click on her thumbnail in the sidebar.

Awwww…They both still look so adorable. And you got a bonus shot with Mrs. Claus.
We’re going this weekend. I’m sure Katelyn will be screaming loud too!
BTW, if you have time, I tagged you with a 5 Favorite Christmas Song meme.

We normally photo the kids separately and then merge them together into a newsletter or bookmark or something similar. It’s much easier to get two good individual photos than any group photos.

I think this photo is perfect and funny! You’ll love to rediscover it when Baby Bug is much older!

Oh just wait until you read my post tonight! I wish upon wishes that I could get the santa claus pic we took the other night onto this flippin computer! Read all about it when I post later…
*hugs* Hope your trip is going wonderfully!

Oh you HAVE to use that second picture. Seriously!!!! That is a classic!
At least you are thinking about cards. I haven’t even made it to that decision-making yet. That is this weekend’s task, I think.
And man … I couldn’t ask for a better landlord! You are pimpin’ in style! Thank you!

OMG! You should so send that santa photo to Ellen Degeneres’s show. She has a whole segment on bad santa photos.
Can I ask you some Hawaii questions, now that the time is getting near? (38 days!)
Everyone tells me that I’m going during rainy season. Does this mean that I’m going to be soaked for an entire week, or will I just get showered on? Is it really that rainy in Waikiki? What about North Shore? I’m going to cry if I’m not able to tan myself on the beach.
How do I get tickets for Pearl Harbor? Do I just buy them there? Is it hard to get to from the hotel area? (ie: will I be ok driving the car to wherever I go catch a ferry or something?)

I should post our attempts to get a picture with the dog as she didn’t let us get a decent picture. Hee hee.

Awww, poor thing! A lot of kids are scared by Santa, I hear. I have a photo of me staring at him like “who the heck….?”
** When was this photo taken? Last year? LOL! Just kidding!
Mary: Yes… but Santa had to go on his break right after, he mumbled something about knee pain, and “some one needing to toss in a salad once in a while”. I wonder what that was all about? :OP
** Hmm . . . got me.
Mary: Yeah, I think that was the year I got weight watchers frozen food in my stocking. Hmmm…

Oh my gosh! that is so sweet! My son always gives a goofy grin.
4:51 pm
that is funny. Cute Santa and Mrs. Clause though!
6:34 pm
Okay I just have to laugh at girlie girl’s attitude face in the first picture and baby bug’s screaming face in the Santa picture. I would still use the Santa one…it’s still hilarious!
11:06 pm
I have a good one, but it was taken in September. Because kids change so fast at this age, I’d like a more current one, but a good opportunity just hasn’t presented itself.
I like Mike’s idea, that would be much easier.

The best worst Santa shot I’ve ever seen was one of triplets. I don’t know how to find it, though…

Aww, they are sooo cute! We have a Santa picture that is funny from last year. I’d have to scan it into the computer sometime soon.
1:39 am
Oh my goodness, that’s too cute and funny at the same time. We took the kids’ Xmas pictures (like 50) this weekend, and I had to bribe them like saying “smile and Santa will bring you gifts.” Thank goodness for digital camera. I bought the same hat for my little girl.
5:07 am
Awwww, poor thing Baby Bug. Bad Mrs. Claus and Santa, make da keiki cry.
5:31 am
Thats the job I want. I want to be Mrs. Claus. The hubby would have to be padded and wear a beard but I’m all snuggly just like I am.
As for the pictures - I don’t think I’ve seen one kid who didn’t scream the first couple of years. It’s a right of passage.
I know I have ones tucked away of our girls somewhere.
6:34 pm
awww at least you tried. we tried to get a xmas shot with Miles (our kitty) last week and went through the same thing. goodness, girly girl doesn’t look at all happy in the pic. Baby bug doesn’t like Santa huh. Must be the beard…lol.
9:31 pm
OMG, that second one is a-dor-able! And I love Girlie Girl’s expression in the first one.
It seems so weird to see Santa and Mrs. Claus with two children in sleeveless/short clothes. It must be rough to live in paradise.
** You have no idea! LOL!

I would love to get a Christmas Card like these two pictures ! And you can be sure they won’t land in the garbidge as all the others after New Year !
At least they are so true and so funny ! I love them ! Use both pictures as christmas cards !!!
2:16 pm
I think it’s CUTE!

How funny. I used to take my son to one of those places set up in a store. For some reason those people can always get a baby to laugh. They probably go home and beat their kids aftewards…lol.
Use either one of those pictures. True life is always better than artificial. Those pics with the man seated (why?) and the woman with her hand on his shoulder make me crazy. Its not a far drive.
Here from BCs.

the best thing about these photos is when they are in their teens and you can look back and smile.

too funny. We just took our “photo” this Sunday. Nothing fancy and not coordinated. I was running out of time and just needed to get it done. It turned out pretty decent if not perfect. Will be posting it later this week

Awesome photos! Particularly love the one at the top.
Welcome to the Christmas Alliance, glad to have you on board!
