Well, I’ve gotten through the first week of DH being home 24/7 and so far so good. He’s actually been a pretty good patient. He still can’t move his right arm very much but has been trying to be as self-sufficient as possible. He knows it’s hard for me to have him home so much and he makes sure he thanks me every day for putting up with him.
One week down, five more to go!

Aw your hubby sounds like a nice guy, and your a saint for putting up with him being home! No seriously, I hope he get’s better soon! It’s no fun being injured!

Reminds me of when my dad retired. After about a month, my MOM decided to go back to work! lol
The bad thing: He’s injured / in pain
The good thing: He’ll get to see exactly what it is you do all day. How much. Puts a whole new prospective on things!
Hope he feels better! Sending wishes from freezing Ohio ~

Yay! Glad week one went well. Wondering what week 5’s post is going to say! lol

I have to laugh at this - not about your husband being injured (poor guy!) but because I can so relate to your feelings about having him underfoot.
I feel like after spending a whole weekend with my husband. I have to constantly ask him what’s on his agenda because his agenda affects my agenda - he wants to go somewhere and expects me to drop what I’m doing and “spend time with him.”
Not that I don’t want to, but it irritates me that he EXPECTS it. Mondays can’t come fast enough, sometimes.
Yeah, I will probably go back to work when he retires, too. *wink*

He deserves extra points for not whining about his “man pain”, which we all know is much more serious than any affliction a woman could endure.
Man pain can include a hangnail.

Oh you poor dear! I had NO idea; I am so out of touch these past couple of weeks.
Mr. Man retired at a very early age and he is here every day; all day, non stop.
If you need a shoulder to cry on Kailani, I’m here.
Seriously though, I am sure it is difficult for him not to be at work also. Oh the poor thing; hope he is fairing well also but it’s YOU I’m concerned about dear.
4:04 am
You are such a good wife :). Big (((HUGS)))
4:08 am
I’m glad it seems to be working out for now. I hope it continues!
4:12 am
It’s gonna be a loooong five weeks, lol. You might really enjoy working more now.
Donnie was home yesterday, just one day, and he drove me nuts. He didn’t do the ONE thing I asked him to do. But he did find time for a nap and a video game and TV watching.

i’m sure it’s an adjustment for both of you. i also bet there will be blessings for the both of you. praying that his recovery will be a speedy one.

Big Smile!

Sounds like hubby is a very smart guy!
7:41 am
Well good luck with the remaining weeks!!!
I hope he continues to be a good patient!
9:23 am
oh no! i hope he gets better soon!
9:54 am
Mine’s been home for 3 weeks and I’m going to have to hurt him soon
10:28 am
That is so nice….my husband and I would be ready to kill each other by now…LOL. Good luck with the remaining five.
11:44 am
I’ve broken my collar bone twice…my only bone to have the honor. Kinda makes doing anything difficult because they can’t put a cast on it. Just hold still all the time, don’t move, roll over, put a shirt on, drive a car, bathe…I could go on. Fortunately, at least in my case, it didn’t really hurt at all unless I did one of the above.
We wish him well!

DH was out of work for 6 weeks post ACL surgery. He just went back Sunday night and I already hate him being back. I’ve gotten so used to him being around and helping with Nate that now things have went back to me having to do most of it because he has to sleep during the day.
Hope that he gets to feeling better and that you don’t go crazy in the process =)
1:11 pm
Kailani,
They offered no reason why Cher cancelled. The hotel just said that “her people” cancelled. I did see on the internet, something about bronchial virus or something to that nature.
I was Pissed!
1:46 pm
It can be really hard to be home all day long recovering from an injury and not get on each other’s nerves! Good luck with that.
2:40 pm
Honey!… You’re in my thoughts! LOL!! I’ve had to do this a few times for Hubby and we laugh b/c as I go up and down the stairs I just recite our wedding vows. LOL! You know, the relevant words (…sickness and health…). It’s so I won’t throw myself down those stairs. I am cracking up!
5:39 am
Phew - you’re still around to blog it too! Yay! I hope things just keep going smoothly and quickly for you both.
And I love the WW share today too!
Hugs,
Holly
8:45 am
Best of wishes!
Hope things get better for him.
4:30 pm
I wish you all the luck!! I’m sure week 6 will be a tough one….LOL
8:31 am
You can do it! I keep trying to think what I would do if my husband was here 24/7 for 6 weeks and he wasn’t able to do much… I think I would arrange for others to take the kids every now and again and maybe someone to sit with him so that I could go out and about!
1:48 pm
It is definitely an adjustment having hubby home 24/7. I have done that many times over the years. But a good sense of humor goes a long way:) Hope his recovery is fast and complete. I bet the girls are loving having him home!
8:58 pm
Just wait til his meds start wearing off and he’s tired of sitting around. He’ll be itching to get up and about, but not well enough to do anything. That’s when the real excitement will begin.
(I'll take good care of it.)
