Just A Little Tired

I don’t know what happened. One moment she was drinking her milk, the next she was passed out. I couldn’t resist taking this photo. She’ll probably hate me for it one day but the laugh was definitely worth it!

And yes, she really is that messy!

How adorable! It’s always worthwhile to capture special and fun moments.

Have a lovely week ahead. Thanks for visiting.

  2. TopChamp says:

nah – you’ll bring her up so she can see the funny side!

She’ll need a sense of humor with a mother like me!

  3. Anne says:

oh that’s so sweet lol. I’m amazed how kids can sleep anywhere lol

  4. Carey says:

Great photo. Looks like she enjoyed what she was eating. I agree with Anne, i too am amazed how kids can sleep anywhere.

  5. Karen is Thrifty says:

I have plenty of pictures like that one. It’s amazing how quickly they fall asleep sometimes.

I also have pictures of my little boy wearing his sister’s shoes and hats. Those are definitely blackmail pictures. lol He’s only 19 months old, so he doesn’t know any better. He just wants to be like big sissy.

My nephew dresses like a girl all the time. He’s the only boy in our family, poor thing! LOL!

  6. Irish Church Lady says:

Ah yes, the famous baby fallen asleep in the high chair photo. I think that we have one like that or a movie maybe. They’re precious and priceless. She will mock you for it one day (with things like “What kind of a mother were you?”, “How long was I left there like that?”) but she will thank you too!! A photo like that she will want to share along with your memory that goes with it. (She’ll have no memory … she was asleep!!! lol)

  7. Maribeth says:

Oh my heavens, what an adorable picture!!! She certainly is the sweetest little baby bug ever!

  8. Pass the Torch says:

OH! If only I could get to sleep that easily!

Wouldn’t it be nice to just take a nap whenever and wherever we felt like it?

  9. carmen says:

oh, that’s definitely a picture to show her future prom date!

  10. wendy says:

That is so cute! My little one used to nod off while eating too. Always cracked me up but I wasn’t fortunate to get a picture of it. Adorable!

  11. Jenny says:

Those are the best kind of naps if you ask me. Of course, now that my kids are older, they tend to disappear and then things get really quiet. I go looking for them, wondering what kind of trouble they could possibly be getting into…and then am so pleased (and relieved) to find them sacked out somewhere, usually in the middle of their bedroom floors. :)

  12. Pamela says:

One of the smarter sleepers.. so many have their mugs in a bowl of something.

  13. Desert Songbird says:

This is blackmail material for prom night, don’tcha think?

    Cute, cute, cute!

  14. Mary (mert) says:

OH. MY. Gosh! That is one of the most adorable pictures I have seen in a long time! Yes, so worth her not talking to you for a couple of hours later in life, just to have that memory. :D

  15. Melissa says:

Love the photo!! I have a picture of one of my kids with spaghetti smeared everywhere and they are crashed out like that! :)

  16. Modern Mami says:

Milk has that effect sometimes! And who cares if she’ll hate you one day! It can be your weapon one day when she really makes you mad in her teenage years. You can show it to her boyfriend and really embarass her! ;)

  18. momto3cubs says:

    LOL, hilarious!

What did you feed her? ;)

It’s what the locals call a Kanack Attack. That means you eat so much that all you want to do is sleep afterwards. LOL!

  19. meredith says:

That’s so cute, thanks for sharing. I found you through Karen Shanley…

    Thanks for stopping by!

  20. Twisted Cinderella says:

that is too cute! I remember one time Little Princess fell asleep with her hand on her way to her mouth, hovering in the air. It was just too funny!

How do you keep you arm up while sleeping? Now that’s talent! LOL!

  24. Holly Schwendiman says:

Awwww -there’s more than a familiar high chair cover in this picture for my little girl when she was small! I may have to post that later! There are few things as precious as little tykes just giving out when they reach the tired limit. ;)

  25. Lissete says:

This is just too cute! How often does she get those cheeks pinched??? My youngest was a messy eater too!

  26. Mike says:

    Love this photo.

My 4-year old did something similar recently. He was eating dinner and fell asleep with his spoon in his mouth. When we woke him up, he acted as if nothing happened and asked for desserts.

  27. Rachel Starr Thomson says:

What a cutie! Thanks for your comment. I love my family to pieces… it always saddens me when I hear people complaining about their families as if they’re a liability instead of a gift. I find people do it less as they leave their teens behind, but I was a teen not so long ago… I remember ;) .

  28. Renee says:

awww…you may have to hide that picture from her during her teens.

I don’t have any conked out in the high chair pix…but we didn’t used the high chair a whole lot either.

  29. Michelle says:

Wish I could sleep in any position like that.

  30. amy says:

Wow, to be able to fall asleep like that takes talent! I wouldn’t have been able to resist taking the picture either!

  31. Christine says:

She is just an adorable baby Bug, even when she’s all messy, She’s so cute!! I still would like to know how they can fall asleep in any position like that and be comfortable!! :)

  32. BeachMama says:

I have one of those shots too! You just never know what makes them all of a sudden fall.

“well, snap out of it!” she said to herself.

  41. Waya says:

Oh my goodness Kailani! I did a similar post with Sophia doing the same thing while in her seat a while back too. She was dead tired and passed out like that, sooo cute! THAT is definitely a Kodak moment!

  42. Write From Karen says:

Isn’t that funny how kids just fizzle out like that? I remember my boys doing that. It’s like their fuse simply runs out and they drop wherever and whatever they’re doing. I have a picture of my oldest asleep in his cereal bowl! lol

  43. Pamela says:

proves she is still baby bug
