Goodness. Some days I wish we hadn’t gotten rid of our high chair. My 2 year old makes me nuts with his messes. BTW, I think it’s ok to feed them off the tray, so long as it is clean. I got tired of the plates flying too. lol

I”m giggling at you explaining the no plate .
When my kids were small you could buy the plates with the suction cups. It’s inviting mayhem to give a toddler anything they can throw at mealtime.
I remember going to work with cheerios in my hair on more than one occasion.
(Maybe baby bug should just go trick-or-treating as “dinner” instead of a bug)

messy eating is still eating so it’s all good in my book. Dr Sears says to feed them in just a diaper so you can “hose them off” afterward. LOL!
