What’s On Your Shelf?
I was tagged by Robinson County Post to do a book meme. Here’s how it goes . . .
- Grab the book closest to you.
- Open to page 123 and find the 4th sentence.
- Post the next 3 sentences on your blog.
- Name the book and the author.
- Tag three people.
Sounds simple, right? It would have been if the first book I grabbed didn’t start on page 145! The reason it starts on page 145 is so that you could read for 2 minutes, and if anybody asks you how far along you are you can say, “I’m on page 151 – and it’s really flying. It just sails, baby.” You’ll feel like you’re accomplishing something.
So after doing the math, this is what I ended up with . . .
I was recently out for dinner with my loved one and noticed a striking woman sitting a few tables over. Now, because I’m not an idiot, I made a point of not noticing her. She could have burst into flames — I’m telling you, I wouldn’t have noticed.
