And You Thought You Knew Me

I got tagged by Mommy the Maid. She wants me to list 5 things about me that you don’t already know. Hmmm . . . I have to really think about this one.

  1. I never wanted to be a flight attendant. I went to the interview to keep my boyfriend-at-the-time company because he didn’t want to go by himself. When they offered me the job, I initially turned it down. But then I thought that if 2000 people were applying for 40 positions, maybe I should give it a try. I said I’d give it a year. It’s now been 10 years and I’m still loving it!
  2. I never really wanted to be a Mom. I guess I was single for so long that I got used to doing things my way. Traveling, sleeping till noon, nice restaurants, fancy clothes — you know, me me me. Once my daughters were born, I couldn’t imagine my life without them. They are the joys of my life and I would sacrifice anything for them.
  3. I think I have a mild case of dyslexia. If I’m writing in a hurry, I’ll transpose numbers and letters. I read words wrong all the time. It does make for some funny moments, though. Sometimes it takes a while for me to figure out why a sentence doesn’t make sense.
  4. I have a Masters Degree in Human Resources Management specializing in Recruitment and Sexual Harassment. I used to conduct seminars at the American Samoa Community College in Pago Pago.
  5. I once dated a guy for 6 months who had a pregnant fiance. I had no idea until she showed up at my doorstep. That was the end of that relationship!

Now before you all run away, I’m tagging Scribbit, fefyfomanna (got you!), The Dust Will Wait, Unexplored Territory, and W.A.Y.A.

Have fun!

Dude… allrighty then. Now I have to think of something I haven’t revealed about myself.

    Good morning!

Isn’t it funny how life has a way of throwing a curve ball at you? I never expected that I would be a SAHM; I have an MBA, and I always assumed that I would crawl and scratch my way up some corporate ladder. Being at home with my kids is so much tougher and rewarding than I ever imagined.

I am deeply impressed by the seminar gig in Pago Pago — wow!

So, did he get the job as well? :)

Nope. I told him I didn’t want to take it but he insisted I do so he can get flight benefits one day. We broke up a few months later.

(It may take me some time to get to this tag but I will)

Number 4 was something you mentioned somewhere along the way – but the other ones are quite intriguing.

Dating a guy with a pregnant fiance. I feel sorry for her. What a jerko he turned out to be.

Now that you have your two girls don’t you just wonder how you ever lived without them. Thats how I recall feeling when mine showed up.

It was really hard to come up with 5 things I haven’t already told everyone. I guess I shouldn’t be such a blabbermouth, huh?

I totally have a #5. Mine, I found out about because he went on his honeymoon disguised as a solo trip. Men really can suck sometimes.

I didn’t think I wanted children either, but I sure can’t see what life would have been like without her.

Are you kidding me? Did his wife ever find out?

I’m glad you found out about #5 before it was too late. That’s almost a Kevin Federline thing. But wait . . . Britney already knew about it!

Wow, I’m glad I never ran into a guy like that!! Men can be such jackasses!! I never imagined being a mom either, not that I didnt want to, I just never thought about it. And then, WAM! I got hit with TWO!! LOL But you know what? I dont remember life before them :) They are all consuming, my greatest joys. I am greatly blessed!

**Do you think you’ll have more kids? I’m sure your hubby would love to have a boy!

oH… I think I am losing my mind.
I remember now. I was tagged and I did this post on November 25

“”"”"Now, back to the subject at hand. Here are the five things you don’t know about me.

    1. My weight
    2. My innermost thoughts
    3. My bra cup
    4. My foot deodorant
    5. The side of the bed on which I sleep

Thus, they remain the five things you don’t know about me.”"”"”"”

    …. That was it.
