For me Blogging is very therapeutic. I can’t explain why, I just know when I write down my thoughts and feelings rather than keeping them within, things are clearer for me and I am more productive in my daily life. I also believe it to be important to have our life story in print for our posterity to read. What better way to do so than Blogging where we meet wonderful new friends and along the way grow in ways we never thought possible!

    The ultimate question!

I am blogging so that readers can get a glimpse of the place I live in, in the eye of a resident — the one that is not written in any travel brochure.

BTW, I will be participating in Aloha Friday soon.

oooh, count me in! I wanna do it too!
    ok, why do I blog?
I pretty much spend my days with a 17 month while hubby is working. So I have to poor my ideas and thoughts out somewhere!

  4. 4

I blog because I like reflecting about everyday slices of my life and things that interest me. I also enjoy meeting people from different parts of the world and it’s personally rewarding when friendships develop through blogging. Recently, I tried sponsored blogging and I was happy to gain some financial rewards from writing.

    Good question, Kailani!

I blog to remember. I have a very poor memory – I’m always focused on the future and I often times forget what happened in the past. Blogging allows me to document my past and to show future generations what mom/grandma/great-grandma was really like “back in the day.” *grin*

I also blog because it helps me develop a steady writing routine. I’m generally a lazy person and if I don’t have some excuse to write, then I simply won’t. Blogging gives me that excuse. And I’m happy to say, I’ve been writing more and it seems to be getting easier. Hang on – hopefully there will come a day when ya’ll can say, “I knew her back when she kept that cheesy WFK blog!” lol

    Have an EXCELLENT weekend!

I started blogging because I thought it would be a way to help me communicate with the outside world even on days when I couldn’t get out of the house because of sick kids or other things. I never expected to really forge connections with other bloggers but I have. Plus it’s a great way to semi-anonymously say what’s on my mind.

I originally started my blog because I began to read other blogs that I found online and was inspired to share my own thoughts. I keep doing it because I’ve found it to be a creative outlet for my thoughts and emotions, a wonderful way to keep in touch with people and because of the amazing community of other bloggers that I have found. It’s also a great way to help keep my sanity as I juggle work, home, kids and the rest of my life!

Oh yes and there’s something for you over on my site! :)

I originally started blogging so that at the end of the year I could do a blurb book as a sort of scrapbook for the boys. Now I love the connections I have made with people all over the blogosphere!

I started blogging back in 2005 because I wanted it to be of sorts like an journal for my girls. I plan to make my blog into a book for each of them so they can look back on their childhood through the eyes of mommy.

Now all the mommy connections I have made through my blog just makes it a lot of fun too. I love connecting with other mommies.

    I’m a comment whore! :D

I just love to write something and have others comment about it. And DD is turning into one too. I finally broke down last night and gave her a blog of her own (it’s by invitation only though). Now she’s eagerly awaiting her comments. LOL!

I started blogging as a kind of journal/exercise my mind sort of thing. Trying to prevent mommy rot of the brain. Now I mostly do it as a social thing. I’ve made friends and enjoy keeping up with their lives!

I blog because I am! If I didn’t have a blog I’d have a spiral bound notebook full of really awful poetry.

BTW whoever designed your blog needs to do a giveaway to promote her business, and the winner has to be me. kkthx.

I started blogging when my health was failing so I could feel like I was still in touch with the outside world. My blog is very light and full of memes because I’d rather spend my time reading about the lives of all my new friends! There are so many amazing women out there and I feel privileged to have a sneak peek into their lives and to learn from each and every one of them. I hope, too, that I can be an encouragement and a listening ear if someone needs me!

Blogging is kind of like an addiction! I started reading people’s blogs and then decided I would try it. I have learned so much from other people and feel like I have made some good “Bloggy Friends.”

It is a great way to keep family up to date with pictures and great for my children to see when they are older.

I LOVE TO BLOG BECAUSE I GUESS I JUST LIKE CONNECTING WITH PEOPLE. i FEEL I CAN DO THAT THROUGH MY BLOG. ALSO, I LOVE TO SHARE MY LIFE WITH MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS. IT MAKES ME FEEL CONNECTED TO SOMETHING GREATER THAN MYSELF. DOES THAT MAKE SENSE? :)

I blog about Hawaii because I love Hawaii. It’s so beautiful and the people are lovely. By blogging about Hawaii, I get to go there every day in my mind. Since I’ve been blogging, I probably dream about Hawaii two or three times a week, too.

I also blog because I have a genuine interest in helping people. In my travels to Hawaii, I’ve learned a thing or two about making the most of my trips and I’m happy to share my top tips.

  20. 20

I blog for a creative outlet– to exercise that “muscle” that I call a brain (yes, I know it’s not really a muscle!) and to “journal” the lives of my family so that one day they can look back and see what it was like in our family when they were young. I don’t scrapbook; I blog.

  21. 21

    Because I can.

    Kidding . . I’ve got it posted . . .

I started blogging after taking a class at church called Blogging for Jesus! I want to share what’s going on in our little life, what God is doing for me and my family, and be a spot on the web that shines for Jesus. And I love this Friday posting, as it gives me something to look forward to at the end of my work week, when things wind down…enjoying!

I blog first because I was told by so many I really aught to . Then I began. I often find it cathartic. Sharing my knowledge helped me to feel like I was not a dieing bread of homemaker. I was having memory problems and found it getting worse. Since I have blogged now this almost 6 months my concentration and memory functions have greatly improved. I also find a wonderful incentive to tasks. I don’t feel so alone in doing them. I love to learn from others and understand humanity and cultures. Living vicariously from the many wonderful members of community. It has helped me in a sense of self, and affiliation with others. Also mission and competency as well.
By sharing my experience strength and hope I have actually made a positive difference in others lives.
I matter in the world at large.

… to have something ‘else’ to do!

  25. 25

    hmm… I wonder why… maybe because I wrote blogger instead of blogspot…
Can’t wait till the next friday!

  26. 26

I started blogging to get more awareness of my Hawaiian gifts sites where I sell my handmade candles, soaps, and other things, but now I blog for other reasons as well. I genuinely want to share what I know about living in Hawaii and also it is a diary of sorts for me in terms of having all the kinds of things I am interested in organized in categories all in one place.
