This weekend I am HOPING for a little time for myself. My son and I have been sick all week and I feel like my whole life involves lying on the couch, blowing running noses and being clung to like a life raft.

We’re both miles better today so I’m looking forward to my hubby taking Bunny (my son – and no it’s not his real name) to do some boy stuff while I go out and get some fresh air. A walk and lunch by the beach sounds nice. Oh, and a bit of time with my book.

Tomorrow I have an extended family bbq and though that could be great, it could also be a painful exercise in listening to a certain person wax on about themselves for hours on end. Slowly, ever so slowly killing me.

But one should try to be positive. It’d help if I got that ME time by the beach…

Well, I WAS looking forward to my brother and nephew coming over this evening, but since it’s snowing to beat the band out there, I doubt we’ll be seeing them. So, instead I’m looking forward to turning my clock forward tomorrow night. It means one step closer to SPRING!
