Aloha Friday – Week 23

Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday.

In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing heavy or too thought-provoking.

If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and leave your link below. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!

Today’s question is:

What’s one thing you’re looking forward to this weekend?

For me, it’s going to work! Since DH just returned from a 10-day Canadian snowboarding trip, I am so ready for some quiet child-free time. Going to work is my vacation! LOL!

I’m looking forward to having nothing to worry about. We might have a dinner outing on saturday or we might not. I’m also looking forward to that too.

But that’s just about it in my bo-ring life. :D

I’m looking forward to catching up on lessons for an online writing class, and blogging. :) The weather isn’t looking good for the weekend at this point, so a good book might be in order, too. :)

I’m looking forward to DH finally getting home tomorrow and staying home for a while…and eating more meals at home as a family. Oh and telling him that this entire week I did NOT steal the covers from his side of the bed at all…he pushes them over to my side!!!

I’ve just done it! All week my husband and I have had planned to go to a zoo and get my picture taken with a koala. Though I did not hold one, I did pet it and have the pictures to prove it! So much fun! I’ll be posting the pictures some time this weekend at my blog A Cup of Joy (http://acupofjoy.wordpress.com/

We don’t do a lot for the weekends, just sort of veg and play with our electronics. *grin* I look forward to just having all three of my guys around me, that’s the time I feel most relaxed as opposed to having them scattered all over town for school and work.

I’m in the mood to read, so I’ll probably devour a book (or two!)

The fact that this week is finally over! I’m so tired of sick kids, being sick myself, a trashed house… I’m looking forward to dealing with getting my house back in shape over the weekend, and hopefully next week will be a better one. :)

I was looking forward to posting my Ultimate Blog Party post today, but I can’t get 5 minutes for mom to come up! I’ve tried getting there 100 different ways, and it either won’t connect or it shows up blank. Guess they’re getting lots of traffic. I’ll comment on your party post after I get mine listed. It’s on my blog now, though. I subscribe to your feed, and I always enjoy your blog. Thanks.

I am actually looking forward to this weekend being over. It is one of those really busy ones. The kids have friends coming over tonight for a sleepover. Jack and Katrina have to be in town (45 mins away) for gold cup competition (piano) at 9:25 am tomororw. Then we have to take one child to meet his mom (30 mins away) at 1, then the other child goes home by dinner(only 10 mins away), then I am hosting our subdivision meeting at our home tomorrow evening. Sunday morning is church, Sunday afternoon I have to go help my sister-in-law get their new computer to talk to the internet, and Sunday night we have Awanas. And we lose an hours sleep this weekend!!!! It’s just not right!

    Kelly Rigby says:

This weekend I am HOPING for a little time for myself. My son and I have been sick all week and I feel like my whole life involves lying on the couch, blowing running noses and being clung to like a life raft.

We’re both miles better today so I’m looking forward to my hubby taking Bunny (my son – and no it’s not his real name) to do some boy stuff while I go out and get some fresh air. A walk and lunch by the beach sounds nice. Oh, and a bit of time with my book.

Tomorrow I have an extended family bbq and though that could be great, it could also be a painful exercise in listening to a certain person wax on about themselves for hours on end. Slowly, ever so slowly killing me.

But one should try to be positive. It’d help if I got that ME time by the beach…
