Aloha Friday #77

Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday.

In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.

If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and leave your link below. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!

My question is:

How do you celebrate Easter?

We usually get together with my family for dinner. We also dye eggs and have an Easter egg hunt with all the cousins. Since I’m not feeling well this year, we’ll just stay home, decorate cookies, and do our own little Easter egg hunt in the living room.

The kids wake up and find the eggs that the Easter bunny hides for them around the house. We have breakfast and then go to church. Then we go and visit with both of our parents. It is a pretty laid back day overall.

    Hope you enjoy your Easter!!

We celebrate Easter by attending church and then having a traditionalfamily dinner. We read the Easter story from the Scriptures and have an Easter egg hunt with the grandchildren

I do an egg hunt with the kids and then take it easy for the morning. In the afternoon I’ll make some appetizers and start watching The Sound of Music. This year I may do an Easter Dinner but I’m still undecided as the kids fear my cooking so I don’t know if they’ll eat it, lol.

Normally, we’d wake up & find our baskets, go to church, come home & cook a big southern style Easter dinner…

However, I am leaving this Easter and my kids are going to be celebrating alone with just my husband and his Mother. I am bummed, but I’m sure they will still have a good time.

My best friend is dressing up in an Easter Bunny costume and will hand deliever their baskets this year. They are sure to get a kick out of that.

First off I hope you start feeling better soon! It sucks to feel crappy all the time!

And we don’t really have an Easter tradition. This year we are going to my families house to hang out, have an Easter egg hunt with cousins and to watch them. They are all little so it is fun for them! Next year when Marlee is older I am not sure what we will do.

    Have a fabulous Easter!

  44. 44
    IE Mommy says:

It’s one of the few holiday where the entire family is together.
We go to church, we have eat and we have an Easter egg hunt. It’s pretty low key. Someone always has a bible verse or story about the true meaning of Easter that they share with everyone. It’s my second favorite holiday.
