Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday.

In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.

If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and leave your link below. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!

My question is:

If you could be an expert at anything, what would it be?

I’d be an expert at raising children – knowing what to do and not to do and how to have a well-behaved child. In other words, I’d be like I thought I was before I had kids – lol.

Knitting. I’ve just gotten into it, but my now deceased grandmother was an expert. She could see a picture of a sweater and make a pattern for it and gave everyone she knew incredible hand knitted gifts. (Might not come in so handy in Hawaii :)

I would be an expert in Leadership and Teaching.

Leadership -specializing in becoming the best person I can be, and using my talents and strengths to help others around me.

Teaching -specializing in helping others to become the best they can be and utilizing their talents and strengths to help others.

And then we will work together so we can make God’s world a safer and better place for our children, ourselves, our extended families, our neighbors and our world neighbors.

Now if I had another chance, I would want to be an expert writer and write fun things for clean laughter and enjoyment!

Thanks for such a great question.

The first thing that popped into my head was a marine biologist/oceanographer.

Then I began to think a little more in reality.
Cooking would be nice, especially for my family ;0).
Photography would be nice, so would an expert at writing novels.

I’d love to be an expert at napping. Alas, work, grad school, and homeschooling don’t allow for much practice.
