Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday.
In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.

My question is:
What’s the worst Valentine’s Day gift you’ve ever gotten?
My ex once gave me an iron. It wasn’t even a nice iron like a Rowenta or anything. Just something he picked up from Wal-Mart. I wonder what he was trying to tell me?

My worst Valentine’s gift was no gift at all!!
I’m not bitter though. LOL
I honestly can not really think of anything. Valentine’s Day has never been anything big for us. A card and nice meal out works for me.

I guess nothing! I guess it was when I didn’t get anything.
Hubby and I just do cards and spend the day together so I’ve never been disappointed.
You know, I can’t recall anything specific, but I was always a but peeved when my ex boyfriend bought me the same gifts that he had gotten for hos former girlfriends…tacky!!!
I got a new bike this year. We’re kind of practical. But, if I really look back, this is the most unromantic Valentine’s Day we’ve ever had. Guess my booty does need to get into shape. haha
A dead flower, my boyfriend at the time got me a rose, and he didn’t give it to me until the end of the school day, it was dead
No gift at all.
Hmm, probably just not getting a gift at all. Then again, hubby and I don’t really exchange gifts anymore anyway.

I think the items I blogged about would definitely qualify as the worst Valentine’s gift(s) EVAR!
I only remember a card being the worst thing — it was the very first valentine I received from my husband before we were married. I think he waited until the last minute and bought the last one. It was horrible. I should have kept it – for posterity. One would haven’t thought we’d be together 33 years after that.

I really can’t recall any terrible V-day gifts. We don’t typically exchange anymore, but instead do something fun together. We are going to dinner and a movie tomorrow. Can’t wait!
I really don’t think I’ve ever received a bad gift for Valentine’s Day. We usually exchange cards, and he gets me flowers.
I actually would’ve liked the iron even if it was from Wal-Mart! =)
I can honestly say that I don’t have a “worst gift”
Either that or I just blocked it out of memory because it was so bad.

Nothing . . . though I may have deserved it.

My worst valentines gift was one of those gold dipped roses all the stores sell around V day. Now, I know some of you are thinking that it’s not such a bad gift. But I’m allergic to gold, and gift giver knew that so, yah. LOL!
Worst Valentine’s Day present….no present at all!!
Probably when I did not get anything at all. That has to be the worst.
I can’t think of a bad gift….I’m not a gift person though. Husband I and usually don’t get eachother anything.
I don’t think I’ve gotten a BAD gift… lol.. and no gift is perfectly fine by me, so that’s not bad either…
I guess that would the first year I had a serious boyfriend and we’d been dating for 11 months and he gave absolutely nothing for Valentine’s Day. I was soooo upset.
I can’t think of a time when I have received a BAD gift, but I can think of times when I got no gift at all!

I don’t think I’ve ever really gotten a bad gift, but there’s been a few people that I wished really hadn’t bothered to get me anything. Does that count?
I am not a fan of Valentine’s Day. My ex boyfriend and my hubby have never gotten m e anything that I hated. BUT I really don’t like flowers..to me they’re just a waste of money b/c they die so fast. My husband knows how I feel now and won’t get me flowers!

cAN WE SAY tHYROID REMOVAL!! Seriously I had surgery on Valentine’s a few year’s ago!
I can’t really think of anything either. V-Day has never really been a big deal.
Since I never seem to get anything for valentines day, I would say that is my worst gift. My husband hates this holiday and will not acknowledge it at all. After 15 years you get use to it.
I once received a teddy bear in a mini gift bag. You know, the things you find at the gas station or drug store? Yah, that’s what my boyfriend bought me my senior year of highschool. LAME-O!

I think all of my vdays have been pretty bad…can’t remember a specific present that I would say is the worst. Partially b/c I’ve always dated losers who didn’t give me anything! LOL! One year my boyfriend and I went out for dinner and I got to pay for it, and I got him a present and he got me nothing. Yeah, that didn’t last long!

I can’t think of anything other than NOT getting a gift. That happened a few times. But thanks to my VD swap friend Wendy, I got some NICE gifts for VD this year!!! YAY!
To be honest, nothing comes to mind. I’ve only been married a couple years, so he’s only had so much time you know? And previously I really didn’t get many valentines gifts at all except from my dad.
It seems to be the unmarried woman’s curse that I never had a boyfriend ON valentines day. Or maybe guys plan it that way! hehe
My husband had to go to work early, really early. The kids and I made a special V-day for him. He got home late and forgot V-day altogether.
Later I found out he hadn’t forgotten it for his mistress. It was rough!
But, a couple years later, Valentine’s Day was the day I totally healed from it all and God blessed us with Samuel! he is our promised Victory Child.
Long story, lol.
It would have to be getting “nothing” from my first husband.
A dust buster……definitley a last minute thought.
Since I don’t think anyone has actually given me a gift for Valentine’s Day in over 15 years, maybe “nothing” would be my answer. But I get that every year!
I really can’t recall a “worst” Valentine’s gift! My hubby does an awesome job with gifts – he knows how much I LOVE Valentine’s Day! Here’s wishing all of you very special gifts this year!
A cow teddy bear. Or teddy bear cow. “udderly in love”. *sighs*

I am going with the no gift also……..I am easy to please and simple, I just want hubby to put a little thought into it.
