Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday.
In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.
If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and leave your link below. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!
Today’s question is:
Are you going shopping today?

Yes. Unfortunately my mother-in-law feels brave… lol
No WAY!!!
That’s a nice thought but I’m off to take my son to school this afternoon for a school activity.
I think I will go shopping! But not at the crack of dawn!
Yes, yes, yes! This is the first year in like the last 5 I’ve been able to go so I’m heading out at 4:00am!
Probably not. I don’t like crowds. I may look for deals online though.
I’ll most likely be doing some shopping online tomorrow. That has sort of been my tradition over the past couple of years.
Nope. Un-huh. No way. Not a chance. No possibility. Never have gone shopping on Black Friday. Never will.
I don’t shop. Except online. That’s the only reasonable way to shop, in my opinion. Every piece of clothing that goes on my body is purchased through a website and delivered to my house. Including shoes and undergarments. Contact lenses, too. I would buy glasses online if I could, but I am forced to get them at the ophthalmologist’s office. At least it’s not a mall.
Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
I might end up going out but I will play it by ear, not getting up early!
LOL
Sure! Just to prove I am crazy!
Yes but it will be online.
I usually stay home for Thanksgiving.
oops I meant to say I don’t shop on Black Friday!
Nope but we have the grandbabies with us while the kids are shopping. A few hours ago they returned from the Outlet Center where the parking lot was full and now they’re sitting in chairs in line at Walmart waiting for it to open.
Me? I’ll shop online!
I just saw a commercial for Kohl’s last night saying they were opening their doors at 4:00 a.m.
FOUR A.M.?!
That is pure madness, IMO. And I’m betting they had a line before they even opened their doors, which means people were probably out and about at 3:00 a.m preparing for Black Friday. That is insane.
I avoid Black Friday like I avoid everything else I find unpleasant – I just pretend it’s already over. *grin*
Since I’ve never been brave enough to participate in Black Friday, I’m curious – do folks really find good deals?
I went and got on the news for being the first one to check out at ToyRUs this morning.
I hope not.
I’m staying home unless I HAVE to get out, but I don’t see that happening.
Goodluck to those who dare to go out though.
I hadn’t planned to, but my 15 y-o step-daughter wanted to go to Kohl’s. We went, we bought, we’re home. Let’s sleep!
My hubby is working and I would need to take both of the boys (5 and 18 months) with me. Not sure if I am THAT brace
No Way!!!
I was going to but… didn’t. I Love the whole be @ the store by 3:30am. If you’ve never done it, try it sometime. By the time you get in the store you’ve made new friends (@ least for the moment) & I’ve helped & had others help me find what we’ve been looking for! Help’s to put the “spirit” into it!
Yes, but when I’m ready, not super early!
Me? Shop on Black Friday? Never!
Maybe. If we do it will be just a “casual shopping” for “family time”
I wish I could! But I’ll be busy w/my two boys today and don’t want to take them out in the madness =)
Not a chance! Even if my husband wasn’t laid off and we actually had a little bit of money, I wouldn’t brave this day for anything.
I may spend some Amazon $$$ online, though. That would be the extent of it.
Absolutely not!! Today we celebrate another of our family traditions. While everyone else is in the midst of total chaos at the shops, we take a picnic lunch and head for our favorite Christmas tree farm. We spend a wonderful quiet day in the country choosing the perfect tree and just enjoying our family and the beauty of nature.
Oh heavens no!
I might go tonight after the crowds have died down. I slept in this morning and avoided all that craziness.
Only if it’s online!
Noooo, I’m at work – bored to death !!! LOL!
No way !!
I DON’T THINK SO! I still have some vestige of sanity left. I did the day after Thanksgiving shopping once . . . that was also the LAST time I did it. I don’t have the patience for it.
Good luck to those of you brave souls willing to fight the crazy crown.
Heck no! I mean not today. I don’t like crowds and pushing and shoving and standing in long lines. If I can feel better today I may go watch a movie?? I won some tickets for the theatre.
HUBS did the shopping yesterday and today.
I wasn’t going too until hubby broke a necessary tool Wednesday and home depot was offering a replacement combo that was toooooooooooooooo good to pass up. I actually just got home AND had fun! Hope you had a great Thanksgiving.
Yep, I went Round 1 this morning by myself and plan to go this afternoon with the whole family, and then go my separate way to get a couple more things!
Went out at 5 this morning – first Black Friday experience ever!
I went out and am already done!!!
I would have, but with the wins sick… NOPE
Yes, I look forward to it every year. Today my mom and dad went with me. We had a great day!
Oh girl, you have got to be kidding! Not on your life!
I didn’t go shopping. After working in retail for years, the last place I want to be is out shopping on Black Friday.
I hope you had a great time with your family!
This is my first black Friday that I went shopping on. I found some pretty good bargains and the lines were not to bad.
There was no shopping for me. Too crazy for me!
We did our early morning shopping….got some good DVDs cheap….but otherwise, wasn’ t much on sale that I needed.
We don’t celebrate Thanksgiving or have Black Friday here in the Philippines. But because a hero’s day fell on a Sunday, we had a long weekend and I went on vacation.
oh, I wish I could, but I’m an online seller of sorts who never leaves the house except in truly necessary situations. I just do my shopping online mostly, no hassle at all and no waiting in line.
