Aloha Friday #41

Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday.

In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.

If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and leave your link below. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!

Today’s question is:

If you could relive one day of your life over again exactly the way it was, what day would that be?

Hands down the day each of my girls were born. It was such a wonderful feeling and I never want to forget those two days.

I can think of a few… One from back in my single days that’s hard to explain, but just was the ‘perfect’ day. And definitely the days that the girls were born. :)

This will probably sound weird to some, but it was the day we went for our adoption interview for our girls. We hadn’t even met them, didn’t kow what they looked like and the only thing we knew were their names. We decided before the interview that we were going to be calm, cool and collected and very professional.

We sat down for the interview and the caseworker handed us a stack of photos. My husband and I both teared up and lost it. We knew these were our girls! It felt so right.

He and I were quiet all the way home because we were in a whole other world with big goofy grins on our faces.

We were about to become parents!

My trip to Germany in 2005 – I know I’m supposed to say the day my son was born or the day I was married, but the truth is those days weren’t perfect, and I would do them differently if given the opportunity. But Germany was pretty much perfect.

I don’t think I can think of a perfect day.
We had a perfect week vacation once. We were given use of a condo in Massanutten, VA over Christmas vacation because noone else could use it. We were beyond broke. But we took as much food as we could and went. We just hung out and hiked and such for free. It even snowed while we were there.
That week was perfect! The kids still remember it as their favorite vacation ever.

Can’t choose a specific day, but it would probably have to be a day from when I was a kid. I would love to relive one of those days from middle or high school, when your just in the essence of being a child and having the time of your life with your friends. ps, yes I’d love to relive my wedding day or when my daughter was born, but everyone said that so I thought of something different.

My wedding day – I wish I was more relaxed and enjoyed the party. That is my only regret in life!

  28. 28

I would love to relive my wedding day. I missed so many things and wish I could have enjoyed it more. I think I was too stressed , tired and looking forward to leaving for our honeymoon the next morning.

  29. 29

    Great question Kailani.

I would relive both my wedding day and the day my son was born because both passed in a blur and I wish I had been more ‘present’ in the moment so I could appreciate every second of it. Though not the pain of childbirth part. Could do without that. But the rest of it was heaven…
