Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday.
In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.

My question is:
Are you a good secret keeper?
I think I am. I’m always tempted to tell someone but I’m afraid that it will get back to the person who told me the secret in the first place.

It depends on what it is. If its something said in trust its not repeated.

I am, people tell me things all the time and most of the time I forget. Which is probably whey they tell me. I can definitely keep a secret though.

I’m a great secret keeper but I do tell NY.
Although, when my daughter was in high school her friends would say, “I have to tell you something but you have to promise not to tell anyone.”
She would reply, “I tell my mom everything and if she thinks your mom should know she’ll tell her.”
People would still tell her their secrets and there were some I went to the mothers with. LOL!

The answer to this one is YES!!! I’m a firm believer that if you tell me something, you’re telling me because you want me to know. If you want someone else to know, you’ll tell them.

Somebody else’s secrets – yes. Mine – not so much. With all 3 of my boys I could not wait to tell everyone that I was pregnant.

I actually have one friend who I tell almost everything to (my secrets and sometimes other peoples), but it hasn’t ever gone beyond him in the last 6 years so I think my secrets are safe with him!
Ugh. I am. And it hurts to keep them! I hate keeping secrets!!! By nature, I’m a blabber mouth, so whenever anyone asks me to keep a secret, I automatically tell them to stop saying anything! It’s too painful! LOL!

I still carry many secrets from childhood. I am a devoted person. You have something to tell me that is private, it stays private. To quote the old lady from the movie Titanic, “A woman’s heart is a deep ocean of secrets.” Aloha and take care.

Yes, I think so. I didn’t used to be – but nowadays I can keep a secret pretty well. Nobody’s complained that I haven’t, anyway.
I am, but it’s extremely rare that someone confides in me. I just don’t invite confidences and I’m am not at all curious about other people’s private lives.

Yes there are some secrets that I have kept for years.
Whenever someone tells me not to tell anyone, I really don’t. Except for my husband. I tell him everything, but he doesn’t tell anyone else.

Secret keeping isn’t my specialty. I don’t gossip, but I tend to assume that others have the same burning curiosity as me and to underestimate exactly HOW secret a secret is supposed to be. Luckily, there aren’t many secrets to be had in my family, so I guess I manage alright!

Yes! Although usually I’ll bring my husband in to my confidence if it’s really good. He’s a good secret keeper too.
I think I’m pretty good at keeping secrets. The only person I might tell would be my husband, unless the person specifically asked me not to.
