Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday. In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too.

Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response. If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and leave your link below. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!

So my question is . . .

Any blogging goals for 2012?

I do have blogging goals but I haven’t organized them yet so … I suppose my first goal is to organize my goals. ;D

My main goal is to keep enjoying what I do. Then I want to implement a lot of what I learned from SheStreams and go for it. Time to get out of my comfort zone and use more video.

Probably my main goal is to remain honest. I have recently started writing about some really hard things in our life and it is hard to remain as honest as I have been. To write the bad things, the dark things, the hard things. There are some things I have not yet gotten the courage to write and I am hoping to jump that hurdle in 2012.

To try to write good content, gain some readership, and stay “real.”

Definitely! Move to self-hosted WP, attend BlogHer 2012 NYC, write more quality content and with all of that, gain more loyal readers! :-)

To actually go back to doing the work of blogging. I’ve got all introspective and miserable recently, and just not been able to write, so I’m using memes and photographs to kick my own bottom! I don’t have miserable stuff to write about, I just need to wake up and realise how great life is, and focus a bit more.

To write more personal content and start vlogging.

No goals, other than to blog more ‘real’ content and not as much all-meme stuff when I get busy.

I will be moving to wordpress as of 01/01 because of all the problems with blogger, especially after the last one, where my blog disappeared and then reappeared for 24 hours but I couldn’t access it. Plus they deleted my gmail account for 2 weeks and couldn’t access any of my documents. And after 2 weeks reactivated everything with no explanation.

I think some of my goals are to write more often on my blog and to be more honest. We have teenage daughters who have been giving us a hard time. I have had many days where I haven’t wanted to blog or be honest how hard it is to raise teenage girls.

gain more readers, write more, etc

Blogging goals would be to increase readership and hopefully more revenue from the blog.

To be more organized : )

I’ve gotten so lax about blogging. I continue to participate in memes but my goal is to write one non-meme post each day in 2012.

To find a better routine, esp. for visiting others more. I did good my first year, however the last year has been so busy with moves and changes, I’m hardly even on the computer. I plan to do better in the New Year! :-)

Have a wonderful, safe and very Happy New Year’s eve weekend!!

I think for me, just continuing to blog at all is going to be a goal for 2012. I sometimes feel as though the love affair with blogging is coming to an end and feeling more like work. Maybe that will change.

  18. 18

I would like to get a new theme and do a little bit of networking.

I want to do more publicity for my posts. Usually, I just schedule the posts to go live at 8:30am, have WordPress auto-tweet it, and that’s it. For a while, I was using Seesmic to schedule tweets, but that functionality broke for some reason. So I’m back to using SocialOomph. Except that I always forget. So this year, I’m going to try to promote my blog posts more on Twitter as well as my Google+ page.

I want a new blog design and I want to be able to blog me. Not afraid of who will read it.

    Just to keep on blogging.

    Happy New Year!

No tangent goals yet…but I sure need to come up with some! :) Happy New Year!

A new design makeover. We’ll see.
