Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday. In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too.

Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response. If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and leave your link below. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!

So my question is . .

When do you start shopping for the holidays?

We’ve done a bit but have alot more to do. After Saturday’s Halloween party I can think about the next thing. LOL

We shop all year round.. not specifically for any special festive occassion.. well.. I guess as and when I see something that the kids or I may need I will buy and stash it away for their next birthday/christmas.

I shop for the holidays year round. Store things and then in the fall I start putting it together and getting the last of the things.

I have started to think about Christmas gifts, but have not bought anything yet. Usually black Friday kicks me into shopping mode.

All year round… I have a closet full of gifts.

I start in January, I have already shipped all gifts overseas to my nieces and nephews, and I am very close to being done holiday shopping.

I usually shop throughout the year, but this year I haven’t done much shopping.

I don’t have a set time. I try to save things through the months because money isn’t available for one shopping.

I try to shop year round during sales. So Jan 1 really.

I try to shop year round – when I see something that I know will be perfect for a specific person, I’ll buy it then stash it. My goal is to get everything bought by Thanksgiving so I can enjoy the rest of the season without hectic shopping – though the last few years I’ve ended up getting some things last minute. :)

I shop throughout the year. Generally any time I make a purchase on Amazon, I will buy a few things as gifts and put them up.

  12. 12

We gradually start shopping for Chanukah throughout the year.

I usually start sometime after the summer is over – September or October.

Hmmm. . . .I SHOULD start shopping about 2 months ago. . . but when do I really start. . .??? Never in time!! But somehow it all gets done and then things that have to be mailed get there. I vow to get boxes that need to be mailed out earlier this year so I don’t have to pay for 2 or 3 day postage – that usually costs me a fortune!! Happy Aloha Friday!

I’ve done a little already but have a big shopping spree lined up with my mom on November 2nd and 3rd.

    Happy Friday to you!

I’ve already bought three gifts so far. But, I usually start the majority of my holiday shopping around early November.

I shop mentally all year, but really don’t start spending until November…

    Usually after Thanksgiving

I’m a last minute shopper I’m afraid. I work a lot with my daytime job & sing at gigs at night, but I usually get it done by Christmas. Please stop by me and check out my 2 CD give-away and help me with the statistics to bring with to one of the top agents in LA. Thanks.

I pick up something whenever I can find a great deal, and squirrel it away, hoping to remember it come Christmas!

    Jennifer says:

Um, is it so terrible that my answer is LAST MINUTE?! LOL! I try to get on the ball with holiday shopping, but I’m terrible at thinking of what to get other people unless they give me a list or a very detailed ‘hint’! ;-)

  23. 23

I have already started shopping. We shop all year long, when we see something that’s good for somebody, we buy it and put it away. Of course, sometimes we forget things and end up giving them for a birthday or the next Christmas when we find it. TeeHee =)

I’m actually almost all done with most of my shopping for this year – don’t hate me.

  24. 24

I don’t have a set schedule, but I normally start thinking about it at the beginning of November and then truly start shopping-shopping towards the middle.

Oh boy…It’s beginning to be that time, huh!? O.o
