Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday. In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too.

Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response. If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and leave your link below. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!

So my question is . . .

Have you ever considered giving up Blogging?

Please link up only if you’re participating in Aloha Friday. All irrelevant links will be deleted.

I considered it for awhile back when I started blogging. I didn’t get any comments on my posts and began wondering why I was spending my time doing this if nobody was reading it. Then I realized that it would take time to build my audience and I was partly blogging as an outlet for my thoughts.

Nowadays, I still get frustrated if I don’t have comments for awhile (like on my current giveaway – no comments on a giveaway? Really?!!), but I don’t consider stopping blogging. At most, I’ll take a day or two off to rest and recharge.

Yes. I usually take a week or two off and then return.

I normally just decide to take breaks. I wouldn’t want to give something up that I have put so much time into! (I hope to put up a post as soon as Blogger decides to work again!)

Yes, I’m taking a very long break. I just don’t have the time or inclination right now to blog. I’m still reading others as I can but…

I have thought about it before but it’s way too difficult for me to give up blogging as I’m really addicted to it.

I’ve thought about it, especially after having had to take a month off last summer/fall with my FIL’s impending demise and my dad’s stroke – it was hard to get back into the groove when I realized how much of a time-suck it can be, but it’s so worth it. ;)

I have always said that I will stop blogging when it is no longer fun and something I want to do. Four years later, that has not happened.

Blogging is on my terms. if its too stressful. I go do something else. That is why I try not to have too much sponsors or get overwhelmed. I’m not in the rat race of being a blogger out of control. I have a life that needs balance.

But haven’t consider it as yet. Maybe when I get a full time job or start going back to school.

    Aloha :)

LOL! Yes. But it would be hard now to quit.

Wow…this is a tangible reference for how many people use blogger. It’s down right now and you can see how little people have linked up this week.

I really never thought of quitting blogging since I enjoy blogging even when I am not getting any comments. No comments is sometimes a let down, but then I blog for myself, my kids and especially to my loved-ones from the Philippines. They don’t comment but I know they are reading my blog. And blogging has been my way to get myself accessible to them.

I couldn’t give it up. My blog is my home away from home. You know? I allow myself breaks and I never push myself too hard. I love what I do but balance is the key. :)

Yes, I’ve considered it. Only because I thought it might help to get more done on finishing my house. It’s a feeling that will probably come and go as time goes on and I think that’s normal about anything we do.

I have given it up… due to health issues… But I’ve started back recently :)

Heck yeah, I have! I quit for 6 months before. Now I just take lots of little breaks.

Yes. Sometimes I feel overwhelmed with life, cleaning, laundry, homeschooling, marriage partnering, etc. Blogging can feel like just one more chore. But, I get something out of it for me. Just for me, that keeps me going. It’s really the only thing I have for me, and the friends I made are great. Wish I could sit around my kitchen table and share a cup of coffee with some of these fabulous women. ;)

    Have a beautiful weekend! Aloha.

Sometimes, yes, I wonder if it’s worth it. It’s all just little characters in the netherworld of cyberspace. But then I realize all the things I’ve learned and friends I’ve made and I think I’ll keep it up a bit longer!

NO!!! I just LOVE all the people I have met (like you) and I would miss all my friends. I have cut back because I did get completely consumed by it. I now take one day off a week and by the time I get back the next day I am “jonesing” for it… I am like an addict! HaHa
Whenever my hubby says to me at 2 in the morning about being on the laptop in bed, I remind him that it was all HIS idea… TeeHee!
    Have a great weekend. HUGGLES!
(BTW, have you added more pink to your blog? I love the look.)

I haven’t – really. I’ve gone through dry spells, but I just love to write and to share my life and opinions with people, so I doubt I will ever give it up. December will be my sixth anniversary as a blogger.
