Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday. In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too.

Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response. If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and leave your link below. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!

My question/statement is . . .

Will you be watching the SuperBowl this weekend?

Yes in honor of my husband I will be watching the superbowl. I however despise the fact that they aren’t showing my show, DH.

    Aloha! :)

Not really. We record it and watch the commercials and score but that’s about it. I have to say…after 22-years of sports ruling the house and TV (with my first husband) it is refreshing NOT to have to watch, listen or go to sporting events that the kids or grands are not participating in. We love going to and watching the grands play and I lived at the high school athletic complex for 9 years while the kids played sports. When Britt was on the Cheer squad (3 years) we attended all the games she cheered at (home and away) and attended the sports the boys were in. Sometimes several games a day. Whew! Loved it then and will love it with the Grands!

Nope…..already seen some previews of commercials, and my daughter and I will be playing in the other room.

Of course, with the weather, we might be able to score some tickets here in Dallas if people can’t get here. LOL

I will watch because I do not care who wins and for the commercials.

It is Luna New Year and I think my family is going to the festival. I am probably going to blog. :-)

    Owen's Mom says:

Yes, and no. I find the Super Bowl more of an excuse for our family to get together, make a bunch of yummy food and then hang out. I will definitely be watching in hopes of a great commercial.

    XmasDolly says:

Maybe some of it. We’re not going anywhere, so I like watching half time though.

    Krista says:

“Watching” is a relative statement! I’ll be at my parents where they actually have cable and the game will be on… Unless it’s a very interesting game I think I’ll be more interested in the commercials! And I’m taking along all my scrapbooking stuff to get organized for a retreat we’re doing in a couple weeks!

  13. 13

It’s so on! Can’t wait to see how the halftime show goes with the Black Eyed Peas this year:)Other than that.. the chips & dips are our main attraction:) ha ha.. Aloha to you all!

  14. 14

We’ll probably have it on in the background, but have no plans to sit down to watch. :)

  15. 15

Not a football fan. May watch the commercials from time to time, but not really interested at all.

  16. 16
    Smellyann says:

No, probably not – no TV service!

  18. 18

    Sarah says:

Heck yeah! I love the super bowl and wouldn’t miss it, I just wish my Broncos were in the big show!

  20. 20
    Coreen Trost says:

Oh yeah!! Usually do anyway, but my brother is a Hugh Steelers fan… forever and I mean since he was around 5 years old! So this one is exciting and very much a ‘party time’ for us! :-) Go Steelers!!

    Dusty B says:

If only for the commercials, at least an excuse for a beer!

  23. 23

I’m sure it will be on but I mostly watch the commercials, truth be told.

  24. 24

No I don’t think I will be watching it unless something drastic changes. I might watch the commercials on Hulu though and wish I had cable so I could watch the Puppy Bowl.

  25. 25
    Denise says:

I don’t know…I don’t like either team so for me it would be rather boring, but I love the commercials, so there is an upside

Yes I will be! Go Pack!

    Lynn says:

You betcha I will be watching. It’s a tradition at our house. Have fun!

  29. 29
    Ellen-TCMom says:

Probably not I have to put the kids to bed so won’t be at a party and not a huge football fan other then OSU!

  30. 30
    Melissa says:

Yes!! I will be wearing my Bears shirt in protest though!!

  31. 31
    Deborah says:

Unfortunately no. We do not have TV connected.

  32. 32
    Maribeth says:

I watch for sure. But I watch for the commercials! Ha!

  33. 33
    Gale says:

    No…I am the football anti-fanatic! :-)

    Gale says:

PS: Plus, it snowed today…a rare occassion in Texas! So I will be out in the snow with my kids, who have the day off from school! :-)

  35. 35
    Christine says:

Not really, although I’m sure it’ll be on a big tv where ever I’m at. We’re going to go play some poker while all the crazed football fans are in town! They’ll be distracted by the game, and My honey and I will get to take all their money! LOL!

  36. 36
    Melissa says:

Nope. And honestly? Until yesterday I didn’t even know who was playing :)

  37. 37
    Pamela says:

    I DID watch it!
