… breaking up with Hubs when Johnny was born. I was 18 and we weren’t married yet. The 2 years gave me a chance to learn who I was, live independently, and know that I can do it on my own. It let me find myself before settling down with Hubby. Being together since I was 12 I needed that. Now I know I love him because I want to not because I need too!

I won tickets and saw the Russian Ballet perform The Nutcracker
going to school after high school–it made me realize that the world of high school is really small and insignificant and that i can do anything i put my mind to. all good things for a girl to learn and appreciate.
Keeping in contact with family, no matter where we have been, even through every day hustle and bustle. They have always been supportive because of that.

..the best thing that’s ever happened to me is coming to Japan!
getting to visit my grandfather in Germany the summer after I graduated college. It was my first time seeing another country, a chance to get to spend time with my grandfather before he died and the change of scenery I think really helped me put my life in perspective for the better.
So many wonderful things have happened in my life… I would say getting to live so many wonderful places while growing up! What a grand life growing up as the daughter of hippy/gypsies!

Best thing that ever happened to me: Hrm… That is a tough one. Other than my 7 kids and boyfriend.
OHHHH… I know. Being adopted.
The family I was born into were abusive and I would not have turned into the person I am now if the state hadn’t taken me away to safety. Having tracked down the family and knowing them, I was lucky to get out at a young age and not have residual scars from that life.
I was truly adopted into a safe and loving home, though I put them through hades… they still loved me!
