Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday. In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too.
Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response. If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and leave your link below. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!

Have you ever met a blogging friend in real life? If no, would you like to. If yes, how was the encounter?

I have yet to meet one in real life, all though I have a friend that I got into blogging and now she and I know some of the same people online through blogging. I have one bloggy buddy that I talk on the phone with but have never met in person, that sure would be awesome though! I would love to go to a conference and meet some of my favorite peeps

Yes, several times. In fact just recently, in June I met a blog friend from Australia, while I was in Berlin, Germany! We went to the Zoo and had a great time!

For as long a I have been blogging, I JUST started meeting people IRL. I went to a local tweetup the other day. I loved it! Excited to get to know them all better and meet others.

Yes, I’ve met a blogger friend before. It turned out to be really cool. My blogger friend lives in New England but has a sister who lives near me (totally shocking to both of us). So she came here for a visit and we decided to have lunch. We spent a lot of time just undoing all our security stuff (telling each other everyone’s real names) and then just chatting about everything. It was as if we were old friends who hadn’t seen each other in a few years.
I’m looking forward to meeting others…I’ve even invited some to come stay with me.

I have met one that I met through a friend. She has girls around my oldest daughter’s age and we met up at Disneyland. The girls became fast friends and now we talk here and there on facebook.

Oh yes, in May I got to meet my blogging friend from Wife.Mom.Nurse when she made a trip to Seattle and it was GREAT! We got along just like we had known each other in real life all along, such a great meeting (and she LOVED my kids!).

I have! Discovered a somewhat local bloggy friend a couple years back and finally we got together last fall. We also realized our husbands had probably met each other at a regional conference since they are both teachers (as are we).
It was so funny because her voice was different than I expected, but other than that it was like hanging out with an old friend! We hope to get together again this summer!
