Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday. In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too.

Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response. If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and leave your link below. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!

My question is:

How does your family celebrate the 4th of July?

Not sure but it will probably be a tug of war of plans between spending time with my parents vs. my inlaws. So, most likely it will be one of those nightmarish days spent scurrying from one relatives home to the next when all the while I’d rather be at home.

Hi Kailani, my Aloha Friday post this week has a give-away. It’s specifically for Hawaii residents so I thought I’d incorporate that to my Aloha Friday posts to benefit one of the Aloha Friday participants :) I hope that’s ok.

And how do our family celebrate 4th of July? We go to our friends’ house, do a cook-out and some fireworks :)

    Allison says:

4th July is one of the big parties we do as a family. My mom’s street is always blocked off from traffic and we have a huge block party. We sit out front and BBQ and the kids ride their bikes and such up and down the street safely. The local firehouse comes with their truck and we have a mini parade with them in the lead. The kids ride on their 4th of July themed decorated vehicles. It is a fun time had by all!
