Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday. In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too.

How does your family celebrate the 4th of July?

no traditions, other than watching the city’s fireworks display from our backyard.

If we can’t go visit our kids (food, drink, maybe boating, tubing etc)
then we have a picnic with the neighbor hood
we barbecue late and everyone brings salads, etc. Then the kids set off fireworks.

We usually celebrate by going to the beach, swimming and watching wonderful fireworks….
We don’t celebrate on the 4th of July but it would be weird if we did as we are the ones you guys wanted independence from!

We barbecue, play games, watch fireworks, and have an overall good time spending time together as a family!

We always go to Va Beach’s Mt. Trashmore park, where the city puts on a big party and of course, an amazing fireworks show. I love it!!

we spend it at the lake
Our tradition is breakfast while watching the local 4th parade, bbque, and then take out and snacks for the evening fireworks! We look forward to it every year!

Running late, but better late then never I always say. As far as your question, last year we hung out at my step-brother’s Paulie’s house and his wife Donna. We had a blast and he even roasted a pig. (Donna has a big family). This year we’re doing the same thing. Can’t wait. I even got a new shirt for the occasion.
