Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday.
In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.

I am however I tend to tell my husband everything but he’s good at keeping secrets so does that count?

I admit it…I tell my husband and maybe an unrelated person. So if a friend told me a secret, I might tell another friend who doesn’t hang out in the same cirle. But for friends in the same circle, my lips are sealed. So I don’t know if that makes me a good secret keeper or not!!!
I’m a pretty good secret keeper, but I do tell my husband many things!
That depends on the secret and who is telling me. If I don’t like the person and they are telling me a secret I probably won’t keep it. If I do like them and I know that they would not want their secret leaked I definitely keep it.

I’m very good at keeping secrets – which actually has backfired on me when my best friend told me a secret that her hubby found out about later, then he was mad that I knew all along. Can’t win ‘em all!

I think it depends… If it’s just gossip, I tell everyone. If it’s something really personal, like a pregnancy or miscarriage or something along those lines… Then I’m a wonderful secret keeper.

I am good at keeping secrets, when necessary, although I don’t keep secrets from my husband. He knows practically everything. He is comfortable with me telling him, “I can’t discuss it because it was said in confidence” because he knows that if it affected him or our family, he would be the first to know.

Other people’s secrets, yes. Mine, far less so. As others said, I do confide most things to my husband. He has to be the most honest person I’ve ever met–why don’t some men get that, like we learn from Casablanca’s ending, that lying can *sometimes* be noble. Like telling me that my ratty hair does in fact look tres gorgeous!
