Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday.
In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.

Toilet paper dispenser . . . over or under?

Neither, ours is on front of the toilet.

If you’re standing by the toilet and need some toilet paper, you need to bend down to get it if it is under. Over means less bending. Sitting down, it doesn’t matter as much. This is why I prefer it over the roll.

hmm, ah yes the old toilet paper debate. Since all our holders are broken or missing in our house, I would be happy if it were attached to the wall. I guess I should take care of that.

Definitely over. I’m so obsessive about it that my hubby won’t even put the new roll on anymore. He leaves on the counter and I have to put it on. It’s ok though because then I know it will be put on properly – with the paper going over.

It definitely depends on the bathroom and location of the dispenser. Our last apt. it had to be under and this one it has to be over! You have to do the ‘in the middle of the night with no lights on’ test to determine what is easier, haha!

Definitely OVER. And I’ve finally got everybody trained to put it on the right way.
UNDER. Otherwise, it is backwards. My cleaning lady has a tendency to put the roll on over, so after she leaves I fix it. I am delighted to say that there is always paper on the roll in both of my bathrooms because my boys replace it, just as I taught them. I never could train their father . . . but since he doesn’t live here with us, it doesn’t matter. What he does in my other house, I don’t care!
Heck, I am just happy someone puts a roll out!

Definitely OVER!! And I will fix it if someone puts it on incorrectly. And like Clara, I will fix it in public bathrooms, too… however unlike Clara, I WILL change it in other people’s houses.
I do the same thing with paper towels, too! I have OCD – that is my only explanation, sorry!

Well, neither. I broke the rolly thing for the toilet paper, so for the time being the roll just sis on the bathroom counter. Usually I slide a couple of fingers through the tube and then proceed to roll the toilet paper for use around my free hand.
