Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday.
In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.

My question is:
Do you prefer to do your Christmas shopping at the malls or online? Why?
With 3 young girls, it’s so much easier to shop online. I can even have the companies wrap and send the gifts directly to the recipients. Makes my life so much easier!

I did most of my Chanukah shopping in the stores, but a few things online. Post Thanksgiving I try to avoid most stores, so online shopping has taken place a bit more for last minute things.

I like a little bit of both. I hate going to the mall when its all crazy but some things I just can’t find online. Not to mention I hate paying shipping. Then there are some things that I can only find online or my favorites places that do offer free shipping promotions. So I do whatever works best for whatever gift I am planning on giving. If I had it my way though in a perfect world everything would be delivered right to my door.

It depends I am mainly a store shopper but lately I’ve done more online purchases then ever. If you pay attention sites are giving delas online that are better then the stores.

A bit of each. For early Chanukah shopping, I’ll go to the mall, but after Thanksgiving I try to avoid the mall and other physical stores as much as possible. I’d rather shop online and not deal with huge lines and crowds. Plus, the deals are often better.

I prefer online because I hate the crowds with 2 kids! Plus, you can’t beat having it delivered to your door. And lots of places offer free shipping – so why go to the store?

It depends now.. if there’s something i can find in malls or other stores close by, i choose to do my shopping there, and only because I’m too cheap to pay for shipping:P If there’s something that i can find only online, then i choose that! Waaaaaaaaaay easier:)

This is the first year where I have done pretty much all my shopping online. I used to be a get my shopping done early kind of girl, however the last few years it has been a challenge for me to get out and get shopping done. This year I have done my shopping online, was able to shop around for awesome deals, take advantage of Cyber Monday all from the comfort of my living room.. And I did not over spend (yet) I have just to venture out to do Stocking stuffers.

I would prefer to do it online, but this year it seems everything is “out of Stock”. Well at least what my kids want. So I sent my hubby out to get the toys, I think he likes doing it, he is just a big kids anyway.

I do a little of both. My daughter loves American Girls and you can really only get that online, and something else she wanted was only online from Toys R Us. I’m having better luck finding stuff online. I just wish you didn’t have to pay for shipping!

I have a bad back that causes me to have a lot of pain when standing, walking, etc. Plus carrying packages!

I really like going to the stores sometimes, but I tend to find better deals online. This year I signed up for Amazon Prime & did even better, although some items are not shipped directly from Amazon, so you still pay shipping. That annoyed me!

I love to shop in stores when I can go by myself, which is VERY rare. With 3 kids, it’s just no fun, not to mention that I can’t buy most of what I need with their peeping eyes around. I do most of my shopping online these days. It is fun to see those boxes arriving though.

It kinda depends on what mood I’m in. I’ll do it online if I don’t want to be around crowds and long lines. Then other times, I’ll just go into the mall and look around (because I’m pretty much broke at the moment) for fun.

I like a mix…online shopping is easier, but buying from a store in the mall allows me to support my local economy, and saves resources {by preventing extra shipping to my house!}.

LOL ~ Online for sure!! That’s why I started my online only boutique ~ it’s how I love to shop for just about everything! Although I do love to go into a few smaller “storefront” boutiques that are different and unique! Happy Weekend to all!

I prefer to shop online these days. A large reason for it is physical. Sore feet don’t go well with walking on concrete for hours. Another reason for me is parking a long way from the mall in bad weather then carrying my coat around – Yuck! There are times that I prefer to shop in person, tho. If the price is the same online, I’ll go to the store to avoid shipping charges. Some things have to be seen and touched before buying. That will get me into the store, too. So I guess I do both but much prefer online.

i have hardly ever bought anything online (books is the exception) so i guess my answer would be the malls. but i would include other stores that aren’t connected to the malls in that answer.
i enjoy the shopping process (as long as it’s not during shopping frenzies) and like looking at merchandise and deciding if that’s the gift i want to give. shopping on the internet requires that you know ahead of time exactly what you want. i hardly every come from that position.

It’s so much fun to shop in the store, but only when I have the entire day to take my time and I’m there with someone who also enjoys shopping, and we have time to stop at a cafe and enjoy the decorations. Because that’s not available to me lately, I end up shopping online and I love how quick that is!

online…all the way… the stores are just too crowded and most people loose all the christmas spirit when they inside a mall. I love reading my blogs and finding new and usual things plus the thought of supporting a small business, boutique or “mommy blog” is a good thing.
Ugh. I’m strictly an online shopper. I can’t deal with crowds and malls and stores and sifting through messed up displays. I’d rather search on computer at my leisure, in my jammies and with a cup of tea. Then I can go all over without leaving the comfort of my home and never have to fight with rude customers or cashiers!

I shop online mainly because there isn’t really much out here in the way of shopping. That way, I can also track sales and make sure I get exactly what I want at a discount, or, at the very least, with free shipping. AND I can also finish all my shopping before Thanksgiving, that way. I guess it just depends on the mood I’m in and my physical capabilities. Sometimes I’ll want to shop and my body won’t let me or sometimes I’ll be feeling good and I won’t want to shop at all.
I can’t do crowds of rude pushy people and you really can’t beat online prices especially with coupons and the free shipping deals so I’m an online shopper!

I shop online and at the old brick and mortar shops, but nowadays I prefer online. So fast and easy and no waiting in line. Plus, it’s fun to get the packages in the mail after I forget what I’ve ordered for people!
