Those who know me know what an organizing junkie I am. I love planners, calendars, and to-do lists. I think it’s just my way of trying to control my uncontrollable life. So when I heard about Organize Now! by Jennifer For Berry, I just had to check it out.
From the site: “A step by step guide on how to get every area of your life organized. The book is broken down into 52 weeks so that you can focus on each area one at a time. Everything from organizing your home to your office to your finances to your pregnancy.”
The first thing I noticed about this book is how pretty and feminine it is. I know that has nothing to do with the contents but I for one would more likely use something that is visually appealing. Inside you’ll find tons of helpful advice presented in checklists and bullet points. This really helps in breaking down the topic into manageable parts. And at the end of each week’s chapter there’s a place for you to write notes to yourself.
My favorite section is the Organize Your Trip chapter. It gives you helpful advice and even a packing list for adults and kids. You would think that being a flight attendant would make me a pro at packing but I’m always afraid I’ll forget something important at home.

Wow, a lot of these ideas stand out as ones we could use advice on in our house! The ones I would be most interested in would be organize - your mind, your cleaning schedule, your photos, your pantry, and your recipes. We need all of these things!

Wow! What a great idea this is! I love just about all the chapters. What a mix of basic and not so basic organizing chapters. I could use the one on photos or the one about Magazines and such!

Organize Your Garage sounds like the section i would most currently need, my garage needs some clutter control!
The organize my schedule is interesting to me because i need a schedule makeover. I have no time for myself.

The one that caught my attention was ORGANIZE YOUR KITCHEN CUPBOARDS. Does that include that one drawer in our kitchens that always has 1001 odds and ends…now THAT is something that I DREAD looking into…you guys know what I am talking about…everyone has one…the “junk drawer”…that is what I really need help organizing…for once I would LOVE to open up that drawer and REALLY find what I am looking for.

Wow, great book! I read everything on their web site and picked up some great organization tips for myself! The Organization book chapters that most impressed me are: Organize your Mind and Organize Your Child’s Clothes and Closet…things we just take for granted. I would love to win this book for my daughter-in-law. She has two little girls, ages 2 and 4, and she owns and operate a pre-school with about 60 children, teachers, teacher’s aids, etc. She has a large home and a very busy life. I’d like to help her out by gifting her with this terrific book.

I would start with bill paying organizing, after that tackle each parts in the house, maybe because its broken down in parts it will be more manageable.

I too am an organization junkie, but I am not good about reciepts so I would have to say that this is the most intriguing chapter for me.
I love this. I love how it starts with organizing your mind and then goes to every area, so many times I’m overwhelmed with all that has to be done and organized, this doesn’t miss anything.

“Organize Your Schedule!” everyone needs help with that. Work/family is tough to manage
Week One: Organize your mind. That is my absolute favorite. You can’t get anywhere until you do that, I guess, since I’ve tried organizing my stuff but have never gotten anywhere.
What I really love about this book is that it’s broken down into chapters. I was thinking about making organizing a new year’s goal. This makes the goal much more attainable as it’s broken into 52 chapters, although I hope I never have to use Chapter 52 Organizing After A Loss.

Organize Your Photos! I have an extensive photo collection, from found photos, to family photos & everything in between. They are sitting in about 5 different shoe boxes in my closet. It is insane when I want to find one!

Man I could really use this. I am so manic & everything is so cluttered……I never seem to be able to get organized.
