Congratulations!
Girlie Girl is totally into secrets, diaries, and journals. I guess it’s just her age. So when I had the opportunity to review Journal Buddies by Jill Schoenberg, I knew my daughter would be thrilled.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The journal buddies books are fun, interactive journals intended to help adults (parents, teachers, mentors…) build and strengthen a child’s self-esteem. These powerful but simple journals are truly a fresh and invigorating take on journal keeping.
MY REVIEW
Jill was nice enough to send us both a girl and a boy copy of Journal Buddies for Girlie Girl and her cousin. She also autographed both books which really impressed Girlie Girl. “Wow, how did she know my name?” she wondered.
This is no ordinary journal where you keep all your thoughts a secret. Journal Buddies is meant to be completed and shared with friends. Girlie Girl really liked the fact that you don’t have to have the same buddy every single day. One day it could be her cousin, another day it could be a friend, even I can be one of her buddies.
For each journal entry, Girlie Girl needed to write 3 things that she likes about her buddy and 3 things that her buddy likes about her. This was a great way to help her think about the positive in other people. Journal Buddies focuses on kindness to others, an important trait to instill in our children.
There is also a focus word for the day complete with lined and/or blank pages. I felt this allowed for Girlie Girl to really express her creativity. She could write down her ideas, draw pictures, or even glue magazine cutouts and photographs to help her express her thoughts.
When she’s done with Journal Buddies, I’m going to keep it in a very safe place. I know this will become a treasured keepsake that we’ll both enjoy reading when she gets older.

Tip was to dress in clothes that make you feel good about yourself. This works because I had a pastor at our church tell us the we needed to “Dress for Sucess.” He said everytime we see someone that we must realise that we are not only dressing for ourselves but that we represent God. This will make you stop and think before you go out in public with skimpy clothes or PJ bottoms(I never did this but I see losts of people at the grocery store that do.) This will not only please God but make you love yourself also. Thanks for the giveaway!
Take time to do things you love. Boy, that builds self esteem. It just brings joy in loving life!

Make a point everyday to relax and enjoy life at that moment! Thanks for a great giveaway
One tip: Make your meals a special time. I wholeheartedly agree, and as a mom I make sure we eat together as a family each night. At the table, no tv or other distractions, just maybe some classical music in the background.
