Who out there remembers Cabbage Patch Kids? Well, did you know they’re celebrating their 25th Anniversary? Stop by their site and participate in the celebration by playing their games and activities designed for kids of all ages.
From the site: “One day, a young boy named Xavier Roberts wandered into a magic 
cabbage patch hidden behind a beautiful waterfall. He discovered busy little Bunnybees sprinkling cabbages with magical crystals. Suddenly, all sorts of different kids and babies peeked out of the cabbages! Each one had his or her own special look, personality, name and birthday. “I’ll call you Cabbage Patch Kids!” he said as everyone cheered.”
This fall, Limited Edition 25th Anniversary Cabbage Patch Kids will be sold in stores nationwide since the early 80s. Each doll will be an exact replica of an original ‘Kid by using the original sculpts/molds and the exact materials of the classics.
What our family really likes about Cabbage Patch Kids, other than all the memories it brings back from our childhood, is the clean image they portray. No flashy or fancy clothes, no attitudes, no bling. Just a little baby looking for someone to adopt and love them. Now that’s what I’m talking about!

Has it really been 25 years?!?! I can remember my mother and grandma waiting in line for HOURS to have the chance at getting a CPK doll. I adored mine and my little girl actually plays with the one that I had as a kid. I’d love to give her one of her own!

Theres something endering about the redheaded pigtail little girls. I think they are so cute. I had blonde ones when i was little, but i think i am going to have to invest in a redhead for my daughter. My other favorite one wahen i was little was a bald boy preemie.. I wish they would stick with the 25th edition, they are much better than the plastic haired, icecream licking dolls. They freak me out. Nothing wrong with staying with the origional stuff. Companies are always tweaking with things. I am also waiting for RAINBOW BRIGHT to make a big comeback!!!!

25th Anniverary Original Doll
I still have my Cabbage Patch from when I was a child. I did not notice it in the examples. I do not know anything about it other than it is bald and came with a blue shirt. I lost the matching blue pants when I was younger. I am trying to show the children to respect the heritage

I spent way too much time browsing this site to look for the doll that looked the most like the one I got when I was 5! (I found one, here: http://www.cabbagepatchkids.com/cart/products/Detail.cfm?pid=10879&srow=109&f_catid=131) My Nona stood in line at the toy store for hours to get dolls for my brother and I, and picked ones that looked like us! My other grandma always complained, “Those are the ugliest dolls I’ve ever seen!”
