Canasta Hand & Foot Card Game

This giveaway is now closed. Thank you for you participation.
The winner is Kathy D.
Congratulations!

Up until recently, I have never heard of the card game Canasta. However, I recently had the opportunity to review Canasta Hand & Foot Card Game courtesy of Marina Games.

From the product: “Hand and Foot is a North American version of Canasta. This game is best played with four people, but can be played by any number of even players. Lay down rows of cards and add to them, create books, and watch out for the infamous Mammoth cards. Gather your friends, choose partners, and have four times the fun with Hand and Foot Canasta - a great twist on your favorite game!”

I have to admit that I was a little confused at first but after reading the rules a few times, I realized that it was very similar to Gin Rummy except that the groups of cards that you put down are a little different. The whole goal of the game is to beat your opponent by scoring more points. You score points by melding cards, and making as many canastas as possible. A canasta is a meld of at least seven cards of the same rank.

The great thing about Marina’s version is that the decks of cards were custom created just for them and all of the cards include the point values directly on them to make keeping score so much easier.

This game is aimed for ages 8+ and best when played with 4 players. Get yours today and gather the family for a great game night!

Win it!

I have a Canasta Hand & Foot Card Game to give away to one lucky winner! To enter:

  • Stop by Marina Games before midnight, Nov 13th.
  • Then come back and mention in comments your favorite Marina game. That’s it!
  • A random winner will be selected and notified on Nov 14th.
  • The winner will then have 3 days to claim their prize.

To earn extra entries, you may do one or all of the following. Each one counts as an extra ticket but you must leave a separate comment for each one.

This giveaway is open to everyone world-wide. Good luck!
