Christmas in Hawaii

December 25, 2008

We did not have a white Christmas like most people but it was fun just the same. It was a very breezy 81 degrees and the sun was shining bright. So after the girls opened their presents, we packed our lunches and headed to Ko Olina Beach & Resort on the leeward side of Oahu.

Hope everyone had a wonderful and safe Christmas celebration!

I just showed my son (5) and told him that where these people live it is warm on Christmas, and they packed a lunch and went to the beach. He said “Mom do I have a lunch box? I want to go”. Hee hee - looks lovely. Merry Christmas.

That sounds like fun right about now. It’s not cold here but 81 sounds a lot better than 60. Merry Christmas. Hope your feeling ok!

I’m jealous! It’s cold and snowy here and I’m not leaving the house if I don’t have to! LOL

Maybe I missed this, but do you guys have a tree? Do you have to use a fake one?

No white Christmas here in Houston either! It was in the 70s and overcast. It looks like y’all had a great day! We enjoyed spending the day in pajamas here and watching The Bean try to figure out how to play with all her gifts at the same time.

My 3 year old and I visited the beach at Ko Olina with a friend who lives there back in August… beautiful. Seeing your pictures makes me soooo ready to go back!

We didn’t have a white Christmas here in the south either.

I CAN’T believe it’s warmer in Hawaii than in Dubai!! We can still go to the beach here, yes, but the water is too cold to swim!!

oh Kailani! What wonderful pictures! A warm Christmas sounds absolutely delightful to me here in the frozen north! I hope you are feeling wonderfully well :)

Oh that seems so strange to me, to be swimming on Christmas! We still had a ton of snow on the ground but thankfully the weather improved enough for my mom and brother to make it up for a couple of days. And it’s been raining too - Michigan weather is just plain strange. ;)

Sending lots of Christmas wishes even if a couple of days late! :)
